Thawale Lodge is African Parks' own tourism operation and places emphasis on responsible tourism by applying 100% of the camp's revenue back into conserving and protecting Majete. Situated within Majete around a serene floodlit waterhole that attracts a variety of wildlife, Thawale Lodge is a peaceful haven from which to experience Majete. Completely unfenced, the camp is regularly visited by wildlife.
Thawale Lodge offers six double- and twin-tented chalets, all en-suite and each with its own private veranda overlooking the waterhole. The more luxurious chalet has a unique open-air bathroom built among the rocks with a shower and a sunken bath and views of the floodlit waterhole. The chalets are spaced out to offer visitors privacy and an individual bush experience.
Adjacent to the park entrance of the lodge is a self-catering community campsite powered by solar energy and with a thatched bar and dining area, barbeque facilities, toilets, and hot-water showers. A communal lapa and traditional lounge area with a fully staffed kitchen is available in the centre of the camp. Meals are served in the thatched bamboo restaurant and bar with a birding veranda. Dinner can be combined with an 'under the stars boma night' with entertainment from the local Gule wa Mkulu dancers.

Kara O'Mula Country Lodge is located at a pristine site at the foot of the magnificent Mulanje Mountain. The main structure is a 1905 renovated colonial building that was the residence of the district commissioner. It is 12kms from the Likhubula Falls and the Dziwe la Nkhalamba natural pool.
Kara O'Mula Country Lodge has 27 rooms ranging from single bed, double bed, to family rooms. 7 of these are corridor rooms within the colonial building. The rest are the more spacious chalets spread out in various locations within a few meters of each other and feature views of the great Mulanje Mountain, the surrounding tea estates, the Thyolo Highlands, and mountains across the border with Mozambique.

De lodge ligt aan de oevers van de prachtige Bua-rivier in Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve en gasten kunnen prachtige uitzichten stroomafwaarts en tegenover de wildernis aan de overkant van de bank verwachten. Dit is een klein en door de eigenaar beheerd pand dat een ontspannen en vriendelijk verblijf biedt. Accommodatie wordt aangeboden in zes speciaal gemaakte, luxe safaritenten, gebouwd op gelakte houten vloeren en overschaduwd door rieten daken. Grote ramen met horren, ventilatiekleppen en hordeuren zorgen ervoor dat zelfs op de warmste dagen de tenten koel blijven. Elke tent is zodanig geplaatst, zodat afzondering verzekerd is. Elke kamer heeft een groot uitkijkplatform aan de voorzijde, dat uitkijkt op de prachtige Bua-rivier. Veel van het meubilair is gemaakt door lokale ambachtslieden en, in veel gevallen, geconstrueerd van dode hardhoutbomen die binnen de logeplaats worden gevonden. Elke unit heeft een openlucht maar zeer privé badkamer (toilet, douches met warm water en wastafels) aan de achterzijde. Alle accommodaties zijn te voet bereikbaar en nooit meer dan 300 meter van het hoofdgebouw. De voetpaden worden gepatrouilleerd door personeel van de lodge en verlicht met paraffinelampen om je 's nachts terug naar je kamer te begeleiden.
