Located within the grounds of an operational coffee plantation, guests can partake in a coffee tour, showing the process that brings a coffee bean from ‘tree to cup’ - from cultivation, to harvesting, drying and roasting. The tour culminates in an all-important tasting of the farm’s coffee blends.
Take a guided walk around the workings of the coffee plantation to see how the coffee is grown, harvested, dried, and produced into the aromatic coffee that we drink every day, culminating in that all-important coffee tasting!

Completely refurbished and upgraded in 2019, Namiri Plains is in Tanzania’s eastern Serengeti. This remote camp is also a conservation initiative, protecting an area crucial to cheetah and other big cats.
Namiri Plains is one of Africa’s best locations for observing big cats. Located in the vast and remote grasslands of the eastern Serengeti, Namiri Plains provides a tranquil and secluded retreat within a wildlife-rich environment.

This small and exclusive haven comprises ten elegant tented suites with sweeping 360-degree views of the plains. The guest rooms at Namiri Plains have undergone a significant upgrade. Boasting a substantial increase in size, the newly built suites offer sliding doors which run the full length of the room and open out on a full-length viewing deck. The rooms are constructed from the natural calcrete from the area, they are strikingly beautiful but also plays an important role in regulating the temperature in the suites. The bathroom offers full views of the seasonal riverbed from your shower. Large, glass sliding doors give you access to the deck right from the shower. A private bathtub made entirely of resin is located on the deck, offering exceptional views from the tub as you relax.

Game drives at Namiri Plains can be tailored to suit your requirements. Choose to rise with the birds and head out on an early morning game drive, return to camp for a light lunch and then head out again in the afternoon or embrace a full day in the bush, supplied with a delicious packed breakfast or picnic lunch to maximise game viewing time. A walk in the wild gives you the chance to experience Africa’s natural beauty from a different perspective and witness a whole new world of the sights, sounds and smells of the bush. Our walking safaris in the Serengeti are conducted by experienced guides and are the perfect complement to conventional game viewing by vehicle. Short walks range from one to four hours and long walks up to eight hours. A TANAPA ranger is stationed at camp. Please discuss and confirm with the manager on arrival. A unique opportunity to spend an informative evening with Namiri Plains’ resident cheetah researcher while donating to the incredible Serengeti Cheetah Project. The Serengeti Cheetah Project has operated for over 30 years and is part of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). This dedicated project monitors and studies fluctuations in birth and survival rates of cheetahs, which leads to predicting the future of cheetah numbers in other parts of their range, as well as providing valuable insight into the challenges facing cheetah, recognising solutions to reduce these conflicts, hopefully resulting in the conservation of this elegant species. For a different perspective of the wildlife, glide over the rolling plains of the Serengeti on a romantic and evocative balloon safari. Take to the skies in the early morning and watch the sun cast its first rays over the land before touching down mid-morning for a splendid breakfast and glass of sparkling wine – the perfect way to end one of the most unique and magical experiences on the continent. The remote and starkly beautiful landscape of the Northern Serengeti inspired the design of Sayari's 15 tented suits, which are a subtle mirror of the iconic flat-topped volcanic Turner Hill to the north. Inside, the rich mahogany floors and delicate tones of sand, stone, and acacia reflect the hues and textures of the natural terrain. Each spacious suite has a king-sized bed (twin beds available) with fine linens and safari-chic decor to offset the wilderness just beyond the canvas walls. The en-suite bathrooms with walk-in shower and egg-shaped bathtub overlook the Northern Serengeti plains, as do the beautiful private verandas outside.
One of Sayari’s 15 tented suites is a spacious, two-bedroom family suite suitable for two adults and three children under the age of 16. The main bedroom is similar to that of the other tents and has all the amenities you would expect: a king-sized bed, walk-in shower, huge bathtub with stunning views of the northern Serengeti, and of course, a spacious private veranda. The main bedroom is linked to the children’s room by a raised platform complete with safety railings. This second bedroom has three single beds with access to a spacious en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a private veranda, so no one misses out on those fabulous views of the wilderness.
