Feast on Nature
Epicures, take note: Fine food is the best medicine at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. In this lush region of jungles and wetlands, local tradition celebrates native plants as much for their healing abilities as for their flavours. Now, a Camp chef and a botanical expert are teaming up to take you on an exclusive herbal adventure that’s all about delicious, healthful ingredients.
Led by your expert guide, you’ll venture into the Camp’s natural surroundings, where you’ll learn about—and gather—a variety of plants used for local cuisine and traditional medicine. Stop at the Elephant Camp, the peninsula, and the lake to learn about edible and inedible bananas, different varieties of bamboo, and plants traditionally used by locals to treat common ailments. Your walk culminates with a lesson from the Chef, who will teach you how to turn your foraged finds into a tasty and healthy jungle-to-table meal.

An open-air thatched-roof pavilion with rustic hardwood floors, Nong Yao Restaurant at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle offers Thai, Laotian, Burmese and Western cuisine.
The restaurant features a bar area, complete with a double-sided fireplace in the middle. You can also relax and enjoy a drink around an open firepit adjacent to the restaurant. Hurricane lamps dot the public areas, lending a rustic effect.
At breakfast and lunch, tables are decorated with local hill-tribe artefacts. Local stoneware and silver cutlery are used for serving. Dinner is served in Four Seasons style: white linen with simple, elegant porcelain dishes and complementary glassware.
An open-air thatched-roof lounge within sight of the Elephant Camp and overlooking Burma and the Ruak River, Burma Bar at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle enjoys perfect views of the sunset. The Bar is decorated with trekking and navigation equipment, including maps, books, and tribal antiques. Its home-like, informal atmosphere makes it the spot for a quiet, contemplative moment in which to enjoy the tranquility of the environment. Sip a cocktail and read a book while curled up in one of its overstuffed leather couches.
Our interpretation of a wine cellar is a local-style thatched-roof building which goes beyond storing an impressive collection of international and Thai wines. We invite guests to join us in a wine and cheese tasting session which is scheduled daily at this rustic venue.
Private functions can be specially arranged; fees apply.
