Set on the west side of the Shira Plateau, Shira Camp 1 is one of the camp sites of the second leg of the journey up Mount Kilimanjaro. Climbers get to see a range of flora and fauna species with the chance of spotting the White Naped Raven.

Moir Camp is situated at an old historic camp site, on the circumnavigation route of the mountain. Situated in a picturesque bowl which provides good security from bad weather and is adjacent to a waterfall and stream making it a lovely place to explore during down time.

Barranco Camp is the 3rd stop along the Machame Route and the 4th stop on the Lemosho route. This area of the mountain is semi-desert and the camp is set in a valley close to the Great Barranco Wall.

On day 5 of the lemosho route up Mount Kilimajaro, climbers would reach the Karanga Camp. The journey would take about 5 hours and climbers get to experience the alpine desert landscape of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Mount Kilimanjaro climbers would approach Barafu camp at about the 5th or 6th day of the trek. The word 'barafu' is the Swahili word for 'ice', which refers to the cold climate at this altitude.

Mweka Camp is situated on Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The camp offers a resting site for hikers descending from the mountain's peak, with space for tent camping and access to pit latrines. Situated in the upper forest zone, the camp offers a cooler and more humid environment than higher altitudes. Guests can enjoy views of dense vegetation and the chance to see various bird species.
