Discover the hotel of your dreams directly from your home with virtual reality. The Severin Touristik GmbH presents the newly created 360° panorama pictures of the Kenyan hotel Severin Sea Lodge. Whether a delicious breakfast on the terrace with view to the Indian Ocean, a cocktail at the pool, a wonderful sundowner in front of Mt. Kilimanjaro or close animal encounter with giraffe and zebra. With pictures and videos in 360° panorama format the journey becomes real already before departure and a whole new world of experience develops. With the 360° technique and a specially constructed camera guests will get an a real impression of the hotel both from air and from the floor before their first visit. With this, the client can have a look around and choose his own perspective of the hotel. The controlling of the camera will give the feeling to freely move around at the beach or through the national park. The 360° panorama pictures can be seen by PC, laptop and tablet. But a very special highlight is the display of the pictures and videos by using virtual reality glasses.

Mombasa City Tour Bike the Coast Haller Park Excursion Secret of the Coast

Your city tour starts in the morning and you have the possibility to experience the city with its vibrant activities and sights. You will also visit the Mackinon Market and Hindu Temple amongst other sights. Afterwards your tour leads you to the old fortress Fort Jesus. After inspecting the Fort you stroll through the Old City of Mombasa and to the Old Harbour. You inspect the old Arab dhows which are still being used as the main means of transport. Then you enjoy a traditional Swahili lunch at a special restaurant in the Old Town and afterwards visit the Akamba Woodcarvers Market. The excursion ends in the afternoon.

Explore three typical climate zones along the Coast: beach, palm-tree forest and semiarid area. The tour takes you along the hotel area to some few upper class plots at the creek. Enjoy the breeze of the Indian Ocean! Afterwards you cycle to a traditional Giriama village in a typical palm-tree-forest along the creek and cross an arm of the creek. You can expect a spectacular view over the Mombasa North Coast.

The perfect trip for families and all guests who are looking for some nature and wildlife in the immediate vicinity of Bamburi Beach.The famous nature park is transformated of a quarry wasteland into an ecological area of forest, grasslands and ponds with walking trails for you to view the fenced wildlife, such as hippo, giraffe, antelope, buffalo and mammals, as well as bird species and many others. The sections of the park include the game sanctuary, crocodile pens, giraffe feeding, a huge reptile park, fish farm and palm gardens. It is a zoo-like experience but based on rehabilitated land. Take a beautiful picture while feeding the giraffes and view the stunning wrestling of crocodiles during feeding time.

Join us and discover the versatile area around Malindi. At daybreak our trip starts northbound. The drive leads us towards colorful Kenyan villages and green coastal forests. Our first stop will be at the fascinating Mida Creek. The small estuary has a huge number of bird species and mangrove forests. A guide will lead us through conservation area where you get the chance to explore the biodiversity of all native species. Did you know that the area is very popular for its pink flamingos?

A stunning view is promised by the ‚dancing bridge‘. From this lookout you can go for a special walk high above the mangrove forest. Nearby we can find our next stop, the ruined city Gede. It will tell you a lot of interesting stories about the history and the everyday life of original inhabitants.

For lunchtime we are welcomed in a beautiful with a scenic view to Mida Creek. Did you ever try typical Kenyan food? It is such a delicious experience! Our drive continues to a small Portuguese church ‚Vasco da Gama Pillar‘. The tower is placed on a cliff above the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the gorgeous view along the coast before we start the way back to your beach hotel.

Kisima Restaurant Safari Bistro Imani Dhow Restaurant

The Kisima Restaurant has been upgraded to reflect the high quality and service that Severin Sea Lodge has become famous for. It is open for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in the evening. Our dinners differ from set a la carte menus to themed buffet nights. Breakfast from 07.00 am until 10.00 am, lunch from 12.30 pm until 02.30 pm, dinner from 07.00 pm until 09.00 pm.

The Safari Bistro is situated next to the Safari Bar and has an Italian theme to its menu, specializing in pizza and pasta. Open for lunch and dinner, also serves late riser’s breakfast. The Safari Bistro also offers ice cream and pastries. Open from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm.

Our Imani Dhow is a so-called Zanzibar Jahazi that was built over 45 years ago. In the past it weighed about 90 tons and on its way between Zanzibar, Dar-es-Saalam, Tanja and Mombasa it transported diverse products like cotton or corn and many more. Under the skilled hands of her former Bajuni Crew of 16 sailors it became a just beautiful sailing ship.

Imani means "trust" and our dhow paid this trust back during her active years and survived all storms and dangers.

Today the Imani Dhow is home to our great kitchen crew who will enthuse you with culinary highlights. Here you will enjoy award-winning à la carte fish dishes, fine seafood in diverse variations and also international cuisine. A warm welcome aboard!
