The Sarojin is one of the most romantic and elegant boutique resorts in Thailand, ideal for a romantic holiday or honeymoon to Thailand, with a quiet beachfront location, romantic surroundings and luxurious facilities.
The Sarojin's beachfront location surrounded by peaceful paddy fields and unspoilt rural landscapes is serene and about as far removed from a busy resort area as one can find. The beach stretches for 11 km and the sheltered water is calm hear year-round.
The Sarojin consists of 56 suites in 7 low-rise buildings, which horseshoe around a spacious 10 acres of immaculately landscaped gardens and lotus ponds, a stylish horizon swimming pool, a great spa and romantic dining venues.
Rooms at the Sarojin have had a lot of thought put into the design, and the outdoor-style bathrooms are very special with open showers and large tubs.
Garden Suites have open plan designs with luxurious bathrooms, whilst Pool Suites have plunge pools on the terraces. Sarojin Spa Suites are the most luxurious of the Sarojin’s rooms, with separate living areas and private plunge pools.
The Sarojin has been awarded the best boutique hotel in Asia at the World Travel Awards. For special experiences have a chat with the resort ‘imagineer’ for private dining, special excursions, romantic occasions and so on.
We love the a-la-carte 'all day' champagne breakfast at the Sarojin, so much better than a buffet breakfast, and the restaurant overlooking the gardens is a lovely spot to start or finish the day. The restaurant by the beach is also high on the romance factor.
One of Thailand’s finest resort hotels, the Sarojin stands out of the pack for its immaculate attention to detail, the super welcoming atmosphere and the fine beachfront location in a peaceful area of Khao Lak.
The Sarojin is an independently owned hotel, and the owners Kate and Andrew have assembled a great team to run the hotel, which lifts the Sarojin well above most other resorts in Thailand.
They describe the experience as akin to staying at a “friend’s private estate” and that’s exactly how it has always felt like for us. It’s easy to fall in love with the Sarojin!
The Sarojin Khao Lak does not accommodate children under 12 years old.
The Sarojin is in a private and peaceful location and not nearby restaurants or other facilities (the main resort area is a few minutes drive away).

About Six Senses Yao Noi
As with all Six Senses Resorts in Thailand, the design is very natural, so luxury here doesn’t mean marble floors and gold taps. The luxury of Six Senses Yao Noi comes from the seclusion, the personal service, the fabulous setting and the design, which is in keeping with the surroundings.
Six Senses Yao Noi Resort offers naturally inspired eco-luxury in an idyllic location amongst the beautiful seascape of tall limestone islands on Koh Yao Noi.
Six Senses Yao Noi is reached by luxury speedboat from Phuket in a scenic 30-minute journey through some of the most magnificent scenery in Thailand.
Six Senses Yao Noi consists of 56 private villas set amongst natural vegetation and lush landscaping by a private stretch of white sand beach – the epitome and benchmark for a rustic ‘eco-chic’ island resort.
Six Senses Yao Noi’s Villas all have open-style bathrooms and an infinity-edge pool and sundeck offering magnificent views of the bay or surrounding forest.
Six Senses resorts are noted for a commitment to the environment. Local building techniques have been adopted, using natural, environmentally controlled, materials.
External and interior walls are wood panelled, with roofs constructed of sago palm leaf thatching.
What's so Special?
Six Senses setting is just wonderful, with iconic southern Thai limestone scenery. The speedboat ride to the resort is a real highlight in itself. There’s a real sense of arrival.
Breakfast is something to really look forward to. Six Senses do breakfast buffets very well indeed – expect variety, quality and attention to detail.
Bear in Mind
Six Senses Yao Noi is a sprawling resort with villas spaced widely apart, and some offering superb views from hillside settings. This means it can be a bit of a walk back to many of the villas, although golf buggies are of course available at all times.
The beach is private but isn’t huge here. As all the villas have private pools, most guests spend their time around the villas.
