A trip to the Rock engravings & paintings, The Burnt Mountain and The Organ Pipes accompanied by a resident guide. Many of the rock formations are the products of prehistoric volcanic action. Fascinating plants in the area include the Welwitschia Mirabilis, the Moringa and a variety of Commiphora species.
Rock engravings: The engravings have very few depictions of humans; by far the majority of the engravings at Twyfelfontein depict animals and their spoor. The rock engravings at Twyfelfontein revealed a deeper understanding of the world to the hunters and the gatherers that lived there in the past.
Organ Pipes: These masses of perpendicular dolerite pillars are located down the riverbed and formed by the intrusion of volcanic rock dolerite about 120 million years ago.
Burnt Mountain: Located a couple of kilometers from the Organ Pipes and visible from the road. The Karoo limestones which formed the mountain were deposited around 200 million years ago. About 120 million years ago, the same period the Organ Pipes were formed, volcanic lava intruded the limestones and metamorphism giving the mountain its distinctive colour.
1. Traditional Life in the village: Experience the daily routine in a traditional museum, including traditional blacksmith (making of weapons and tools), tanning of leather (production of traditional clothes), jewellery and crafts, dancing, singing and traditional games, Holy Fire and fire making and more.

Etosha Village Restaurant
At a typical Namibian Rural Village families are divided into three areas when dining. Traditionally one area is dedicated to men, one to women and the other for the elderly and children. When Etosha Village was designed, we remained true to this tradition and created three different dining areas at our restaurant, but of course not split into gender groups.
Etosha Village is well known for inspiring cuisine and many guests have claimed that it is the best buffet dinner experience in Namibia! You can start your day with a scrumptious buffet breakfast with an extensive selection of all the favourite delectable breakfast foods and treats.
Lunch is served a' la carte with loads of mouth-watering dishes to choose from.
The popular buffet dinner will leave you spoiled for choice between the salads, side dishes, grilled meats and stir-fries - all prepared fresh and in front of every guest! For the perfect ending there is a range of decadent dessert sensations as well as a variety of cheeses and biscuits.*
At the buffet area there is a 24 hour coffee station with a variety of coffees and teas to enjoy at any time!
Enticing lunch packs can also be ordered the evening before at reception to take along on self-drives or guided excursions to Etosha National Park.
* Please note that on the occasion when we have less than 20 guests in-house we serve a delicious plated 3 Course Dinner and have a set menu available at Breakfast.

Kashana Namibia | Erongo Mountains
The main building at Kashana really has been a witness to a century of history having been built in 1907 as a casino. After years of being put to less respectable uses, its condition had deteriorated seriously. It was fortunate, therefore, that its new owners decided to restore it for posterity and for the benefit of the local community, some of whom work for Kashana or in the many small businesses housed around the courtyard. The main building houses the Restaurant, Bar and offices, while the Kashana accommodation is newly built behind it. The grounds also house the novel Nawa Nawa Art Centre which displays and sells art and crafts, furniture and sculptures, many of which are fabricated with recycled waste products - as is the gallery itself.
