CIRQA's cuisine is inspired by the taste and ingredients of the traditional Arequipenean countryside picanterías, but in a contemporary format.
With enticing aromas carried throughout the city, our kitchen team was immediately inspired by the native blend of flavours. While Arequipenean gastronomy is known for its abundance, use of local ingredients and spice, CIRQA adds a refined touch to every dish. All lunch and dinner options, locally-inspired or all-time classics, captivate the essence of Arequipa, its heritage, legacy and traditions.

From PUQIO we set off at dawn towards Choqolaqa, a stone forest at over 4,800 metres above sea level that seems taken from another
planet. The journey itself — across solitary plateaus, wetlands and highland trails — is already an adventure. After a short stop in the
village of Tisco, we arrive at this surreal landscape where towers and stone figures rise as if guarding an ancient secret. We walk among
these formations sculpted by time and share a picnic surrounded by the majestic silence of the high plateau.

Tambopata Research Center Lodge | Puerto Maldonado
Travel by boat several hours up the Tambopata River to reach the remote Tambopata Research Center Jungle Lodge, leaving the final traces of human habitation behind. Within the 700,000 hectares of uninhabited reserve sightings of monkeys, macaws, and other large species become more frequent. Jaguars are sometimes seen near the river bank.
The comfortable 18 bedroom lodge was built more than twenty years ago (and rebuilt just a few years ago) with the object of lodging tourists and researchers alike and of protecting the adjacent macaw clay lick. The lodge rooms are unique due to the fact that one side of the room opens out onto the surrounding rainforest acting as a window into the forest allowing guests to enjoy this unique ecosystem even from the comfort of their hammocks.
