This room has a large walk in wardrobe, outdoor private veranda with separate seating and a spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower. Please note this room cannot convert into a twin bed.

Bedroom 2 in the Main House can either be either a twin or double depending on the requirements of the guests. The bathroom offers a large bath with an over bath shower.

The loft space of the main house is ideal for children - 3 single beds are positioned to maximize space for children. There is a small shower room on the first floor for this room or children can share the bathroom with their parents. The loft of the Main House can only be booked in conjunction with the Master Bedroom in the Main House. There is a minimum charge of 2 beds to secure this space and additional people will be charged the applicable per person rate.

These 3 double storey contemporary rooms offer an ideal living space, large glass windows and the open plan design of the living areas create a tranquil environment. Downstairs comprises of a spacious living area with a wet room style of bathroom, upstairs is an open plan sleeping area with views over the grounds. There is also a sofa that can convert into extra beds for children. All rooms have in room refreshments.

These spacious studio suites are located on the first floor above the main lounge of the studio conversion. These 2 rooms are accessed through a wide staircase leading into a connecting corridor. The rooms have large windows, creating the feeling of space and outdoors. The bathrooms are spacious, light and airy with a rain shower and a separate bath. Both rooms have in room refreshments.

This cottage is set out from the rest of the lodge, making it more private and ideal for a honeymoon couple.

The cottage faces East, allowing guests to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee from the comfort of a large four poster double bed.

Room two is bright and spacious with two queen size beds. Sheepskin rugs on the floor and a beautiful view of the sunrise make this room of the favourites with guests. It has a covered outdoor verandah and a view over the valley bellow.

Room three has panoramic views onto the valley bellow. The room has two queen size beds, private garden and a covered paved verandah for private meals under the stars.

There is step free access to the main lodge where guests meet for dinner, as well as to the pool and the lunch area. There is the option to be picked up by a vehicle from the room, making it ideal for older guests or those with mobility issues.

Room 4 is ideal four honeymoon couples or those on a romantic getaway. The cottage is built into the rocks of the hill with a large bath set into the stone. A four posted double bed sits at the center of the room with large windows which allow the morning light to flood the room.

There is a secluded private verandah, down some stairs outside the cottage. This verandah is perfect for a lazy afternoon or private, candle lit meals.

This cottage is a favourite with families, it comprises of a double and a twin room connected by a shared, outdoor sitting room.

The shared sitting room is equipped with a self-service minibar and has a fantastic view to the dam bellow which is often populated by waterbuck, buffalo and elephant.

Room 5 is a twin, with huge windows facing East, allowing for guests to see the sunrise from the comfort of their two queen size beds. The bathroom is spacious with a walk-in shower and a large bath.

Room 6 has a large double bed with a lovely bright bathroom. There is an extra child's room down some stairs with two smaller singe beds, perfect for children under the age of 12.

There is a private sun deck leading out from the double room.

This large spacious cottage is the most recent addition to Borana Lodge. With a shared sitting room and private plunge pool, adding exclusivity. The shared sitting room is the perfect location for family meals, with a kitchen and minibar. The cottage has a private plunge pool and guests often find themselves swimming at the same time as a family of elephants in the dam bellow.

Room 7 is a twin, up a set of stairs form the shared sitting room. It has wonderful views onto the dam bellow with large double glass doors that open onto a small balcony. There is a large bathroom with panoramic views from the shower and bath.

Room 8 is a double room, completely designed with the hill in mind the bathroom is built around volcanic rocks with bath, shower and loo on separate levels. There is a fantastic view to the dam from the shower and large double doors which open onto the plunge pool and valley bellow.

This cottage can not be sold as two separate rooms.

There are 14 spacious (105 m2) exquisitely furnished and elevated luxury tented suites each with unobstructed views of the hippo pools from the outdoor sitting deck. Each tent has a lavish en-suite bathroom complete with 2 outdoor showers, an indoor shower, a free standing copper bath tub and natural body products. Additional features include a pillow menu, a maxi bar with home made snacks, complimentary wi-fi and a ceiling fan.

With two private en-suite rooms, our elevated 2 bedroom suites are even more spacious (205 m2) and ideal for families. Furnished and designed in the same style as the standard suite, the two bedroom unit offers stunning views over the hippo pools from an extended viewing deck and from the common lounge at the heart of the suite. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with 2 outdoor showers, an indoor shower, a free standing copper bath tub and natural body products. Additional features include a pillow menu, a maxi bar with home made snacks, complimentary wi-fi and a ceiling fan.

The presidential spacious master suite (200 m2) offers clear views of the surrounding hippo pools from the extended viewing deck and private heated plunge pool. The tent features a single bedroom with a spacious en-suite bathroom complete with 2 outdoor showers, an indoor shower, a free standing copper bath tub and natural body products. To offer a full in-room service, the suite is also equipped with a lounge and dining area, a small kitchen, a guest bathroom, a private plunge pool and a spare bedroom for a bodyguard or nanny. Additional services offered in the suite include a private chef, butler service and exclusive use of a safari vehicle.

There are 11 ensuite Beach Front rooms which are situated right on the sea front, and have stunning views across the Indian Ocean. Each room is an individual cottage, constructed with local materials in traditional coastal style, with palm thatch roofs and woven matting covering.

Each of the rooms is ensuite.

Children will automatically be allocated a Palm Room, unless parents request otherwise.

Our Garden Rooms, of which there are six, have been designed to accommodate guests on a cheaper rate - the rooms are simpler but very comfortable, and set back in the gardens of the resort. The beds are smaller in size - 3ft x 6ft.

Each room is constructed with local materials in traditional coastal style, with palm thatch roofs and woven matting covering.
