Bush  Ways Botswana offers adventure journeys to the heart of Africa, offering small group safaris to discover the magic of the African bush. While on the Adventure Camping mobile safari, guests are only required to pitch and fold their own tent. All cooking, cleaning and any other camp chores are taken care of by the Bush Ways Safari team, made up of an experienced local safari guide and a camp assistant. We provide 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m dome tents and a comfortable 5cm high density foam mattress. We mostly camp in areas with no formal ablutions, and therefore build our own bush toilet and shower when camping in these areas.

Guests travel in a Bush Ways custom-built safari vehicle. All Bush Ways safari vehicles are specially designed to offer optimum comfort and maximize game viewing and photographic opportunities for the guests. Each vehicle has been designed to seat 16 guests but takes a maximum of 12 during this safari, which ensures excellent game viewing and mobility.

Dome tents

Camping equipment and accommodation: spacious bow tents with mattresses. Tents are 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m. A 5cm high density foam mattress is provided for each guest. Ablutions are shared and set up by our team when staying in game reserves and national park campsites. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bag (and a small pillow) for all camping. Bush Ways Botswana is happy to provide sleeping bags on rental at an extra cost.

Boteti River Camp is ideally located near the Makgadikgadi National Park. The camp is on the outskirts of Khumaga Village where guests can observe the local culture and discover the world's largest salt pan. Close by is the Nxai Pan National Park and Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The camp features five standard chalets and three family units, all en-suite and feature air-conditioning and mosquito nets. The camping ground includes eight campsites and three mini Meru tents, a shaded area, a water tap, an electricity socket, a fireplace, a bin, and shared ablutions. The lounge deck is ideal for viewing the surrounding landscape, spotting animals, and for relaxing. The swimming pool is the place to be on those hot sunny days. The dining area serves homely food and the bar offers refreshing drinks.

Twin Chalets Family unit

Chalets are spaced generously throughout the camp’s lush garden. Each room features twin beds with mosquito nets, tea and coffee facilities, and an en-suite outdoor bathroom with an open-air shower. Beds can be pushed together and converted into a king-size bed upon request.

Raintree Camp is situated on a beautiful piece of land just outside of Shorobe, Botswana. A forest of rain trees provides a stunning setting for the shady campsites. The property offers spacious campsites with shared ablution blocks. Guests can make use of the swimming pool and deck, a bar area, BBq facilities, horseback riding, mobile game reserve safaris, community excursions and a visit to the Elephant Havens Sanctuary.

Moremi Game Reserve is one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana and covers swamp and dry areas. Spend your days searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm. After your morning game drive you will return to camp for lunch and a siesta. On the last day you will move campsites to explore a different area of this diverse park. Camping will be in private designated campsites with bush ablutions.

Within the Chobe National Park, Savuti is perhaps one of the best known game-viewing areas in the country. Under ideal conditions the number and variety of animals seen can be quite staggering.

The Savuti area supports mainly Camelthorn (Acacia erioloba) sandveld, Silver Terminalia (Terminalia sericea) sandveld, scrub savanna, and mopane veld. Savuti's almost desert-like landscape with a scorching sun, loose, hot sand, animals escaping the heat by clumping together in the limited available shade, and elephants impatiently lining up to get to the ever-dwindling water supply, offer a wildlife experience so different, yet so true to Africa. It is almost impossible to imagine that this desolate, harsh landscape was once submerged beneath an enormous inland sea. Geologically the five main features of Savuti (namely the Magwikhwe Sand Ridge, the Mababe Depression, the Savuti Marsh with its dead trees, the Rocky Outcrops, and the Savuti Channel) are all intricately linked in the most fascinating manner.

Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. You will then head northwards to the Chobe River where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river, followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. Camping will be in private designated areas with bush ablutions.

Surrounded by lush gardens and manicured lawns, this 50-room lodge offers plenty of space, comfort, and charm. Each room is tastefully decorated in a classic style and overlooks the gardens, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

All rooms come with air conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe, mosquito nets, tea and coffee-making facilities, multi-plugs, and good lighting. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and double vanity.

The rooms look out over manicured lawns to our two secluded pool areas. Each large, well-appointed room boasts a spacious en-suite bathroom with double basins and shower for our weary travelers.
