Both on and off the coast of the island you'll find many exciting activities, tours, and experiences. Imagine taking in the scent of fresh herbs and spices as you tour the local spice markets, the feeling of pristine turquoise waters lapping up over your feet as you wade into the sea, or the enchanting sounds of the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey as you explore the Jozani forest.
Below we've made a short list of some of the many things to do on the island, all of which we can organize on your behalf through our concierge service.
Sea Turtle Conservation Pond
One of our most highly recommended experiences. Just a short walk from the hotel you'll find an NGO community based conservation project preserving the green turtle population of Zanzibar. You'll have the opportunity to feed these gentle creatures as well as swim in their natural salt water lagoon with them.
Beaches
Zanzibar is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Often the subject of travel magazines and fashion shoots. You'll find fine white sand, and crystal clear turquoise waters no further than your room walkout terrace at Nungwi Dreams, but you'll also be able to explore the many other gorgeous beaches across the island each with it's own unique character.
Kite Surfing
For our more adventurous spirited guests you'll have the opportunity to experience the rush of kite surfing, as you glide across the Indian Ocean.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling in Zanzibar is regarded among the best in the world. Our sites will thrill you and give you an unforgettable experience. More than 350 different fish species are recorded here alone.
Diving
Nungwi Dreams is located perfectly in a Divers paradise. Almost all of Zanzibar's best dive sites lie in the north end of the island and at Mnemba Island. The deep water around Nungwi attracts some of the real giants of the Indian Ocean such as the beautiful Humpback, which you may encounter during it's migration.
Mnemba Island
The marine reserve comprises four distinct habitats which are home to a diverse array of Indian Ocean wildlife:
- Green turtles
- Humpback whales (July to September)
- Three species of dolphin
- Whale Sharks (the world's largest fish)
- Migratory and resident shore birds feed and roost on the Island
- Approximately 600 species of coral reef fish.
Jozani Forest
The only National Park in Zanzibar and a thriving rainforest, come see the famous Red Colobus monkey and the Legendary Zanzibar Leopard, as well as 50 species of butterfly and 40 species of birds.
Kizimkazi Dolphins
Embark on an experience of a lifetime by swimming with the Dolphins in their natural habitat. The seashore of the fishing village Kizimkazi is the home of several pods of humpback and bottlenose dolphins.
Prison Island
What was once used as a prison for rebellious slaves, now is famous for Giant Tortoises and some spectacular snorkeling. This is a must-do combined with a Stone Town tour.
Deep Sea Fishing
Enjoy some of Africa’s best deep sea fishing grounds. The channel between Zanzibar and Pemba in particular, is an internationally renowned site consistently providing first-rate big game fishing opportunities. With large schools of Barracuda, Wahoo, Kingfish and Giant Travelli in the area all year round, and seasonal visits from many other species such as Marlin.
Spice Tours
The Spice Tour is one of the most popular excursions on the infamous Spice Island. It received this nickname as a result of being one of the world’s leading producers of spices such as clove, nutmeg and cinnamon in the 19th century. Engage in a walking tour of a spice farm, and smell and taste different spices, finishing off with an authentic lunch.
Stone Town
Visit the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, and wander through the maze of narrow alleys lined by houses, shops, bazaars and mosques. Stone Town's architecture has a number of distinctive features, as a result of the multitude of cultures that had controlled it and have mixed together in an interesting manner.

The Serengeti National Park is a diverse ecosystem supporting rare species of plant and animals' life. It has over 500 different species of birds making it an incredible destination for bird watching. Birds play a vital role in maintaining the balance in the ecosystem acting as herbivores, insectivores, predators and scavengers.
The Serengeti bird safari never fails to amaze, from the tiny Beautiful Sunbird to the spectacular Eagles, your binoculars and bird book will be poised and frequently ruffled.

Dawn is the best time to wake and prepare for your game drive on safari. The invigorating smells of early morning coffee mixed with fresh dew grass and wild earth awaken the soul. The sun rises in a ball of oranges and silhouettes behind our camp.
There is always something fascinating to see on a game drive: a rainbow-coloured Lilac Breasted Roller, your first sighting of a herd of Elephants migrating to the Maasai marshes for their lunchtime thirst quench, a pride of Lions or the twitching tail of a Leopard lazing in a Sausage Tree. You will find yourselves captivated, reawakened, breathing in the natural scents and sounds of an untamed wilderness. Wildlife in the Serengeti National Park can be enjoyed in its natural habitat.

When you see the earth from the air the world changes, perspectives change and great ideas are born. Balloon safaris take off as the sun rises over the Serengeti plains.
Once the Balloon rises with the sun, the early wake-up call will begin to make perfect sense. Each journey is different, the route of the Balloon determined by the direction of the wind. As the Serengeti expands in magnificence before your eyes, the skilled pilots will guide the Balloon towards wildlife on the ground. A Champagne breakfast and toast to your return to Earth can be enjoyed under the canopy of an Acacia tree in the middle of Serengeti wilderness.
Book your Balloon safari when you stay at Siringit Serengeti Camp.

Visit the first Tanzanian Rhino conservation project in Moru Kopjes in southwestern Serengeti. Accompanied by a Tanapa ranger you will be able to see a black rhino in its natural habitat and be with that rhino for two hours.
Book your exclusive Rhino safari package when you stay at Siringit Serengeti Camp.

Dining Tent
The dining tent serves breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to guests staying in the camp with expertly created local cuisine dishes by Chef Axel Janssens. The camps dining tent offers excellent views of the surrounding grasslands. Each meal served at Siringit Serengeti Camp is created to bring you the best of Tanzanian cuisine with a European flair. Guests can also opt to do a wine pairing with their meal, bringing together the best of both worlds. Arrangements also exist for guests to go out on game drives with picnic hampers.
