Fredy's Bungalow near Nainital is set in Bhim Tal, 700 metres from Bhimtal Lake. Certain rooms have a seating area to relax in after a busy day. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. Extras include slippers and free toiletries. You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including fishing and hiking.

Itmenaan Estate is a fairytale getaway in a peaceful rural setting in the Kumaon Himalayas. Located close to the main house is the newly built spacious two-storey Deodar Cottage. The cottage has been painstakingly built over a period of one year in traditional local architecture that involves stacking local stones one above the other without using any cementing material in a ‘dry stack’, locally called ‘kori chinai’. With a large bedroom on level-2 and a sitting room on level-1, the cottage offers stunning views of the valley and Himalayan peaks.

All rooms have king-size beds with luxurious mattresses. The traditional architecture of the walls and the roof provide for the snug insulation that is so needed during the winter season.The bathrooms are fitted with all modern fixtures and have running hot and cold water at all times. Each bathroom is fitted with a sky light to allow for the sun light to come in so that the guests can appreciate the dry stack architecture of the walls.

At Itmenaan Estate, you are served delicious and well thought out recipes that range from traditional Kumaoni, regular North Indian, to dishes from the Western world. Meals can be served in the lovely front courtyard, in the semi-open air dining lounge, your exclusive dining area that comes with your room or at a venue of your choice for a perfectly romantic meal.

Besides the beauty of the Binsar forests, the Himalayas tower majestically above us, a vantage point “Zero Point” offering a stunning 180 degree view of the world’s youngest and highest mountain ranges. The view of the Himalayas has been quoted by Bill Aitken as “the best view point” of the Himalayas in the Kumaon.

Cosmos Wisteria Wild Rose Cherry Blossom Juniper Cedar Suite Oak Suite

One of the three bedrooms in Mary Budden Cottage, Cosmos has a fireplace and a beautiful bathroom enriched by its wooden flooring.

The bedroom in the heart of the cottage is called Wisteria and has two large twin-size beds on either side of a fireplace. This room also has an ensuite bathroom and a cosy annexe which accommodates a spare bed.

Wild Rose bedroom, with an ensuite bathroom which has modern fittings and an ambience of luxury, further benefits from a charming annexe should there be need for an extra bed.

Cherry Blossom, one of the bedrooms in Rhododenderon cottage benefits from pinewood ceilings and an ensuite bathroom.

Large picture windows adorn Juniper bedroom. The bedroom further benefits from an ensuite bathroom.

Sensitively furnished and decorated, Cedar Suite is cosy and also has an ensuite bathroom.

Mary Budden Cottage Rhododendron Cottage

Mary Budden cottage is a heritage cottage which belonged to Mary Budden - A missionary in the area who lived there in last 19th century.

We have 03 rooms in this cottage and each room is kept warm by a fireplace or bukhari.

It can comfortably sleep six people plus two children in tastefully furnished rooms that are decorated in the spirit of elegant country living.

An intimate front porch, antique kilm carpets, rich pine wood and numerous nooks add to the charm of the cottage.

This beautiful, airy and romantic cottage has 04 rooms with beautiful views and sits comfortably in the vicinity of Mary Budden Cottage. Rhododendron Cottage is named after the beautiful red Rhododendron flower that grows wild in the Binsar forest.

Though the cottage has been recently constructed and is a modern addition to the Estate, it never loses the magic of its old colonial predecessor. It has all the amenities and is further enhanced with a larger living room, a cozy library and picture windows to bathe each room in sunlight.

Pinewood ceilings, a fireplace or bukhari and elegant furnishings adorn each room to create an ambience of serenity and homelike comfort.

The cottage has a front porch, two levels and an inner courtyard, all of which add mystery and intricacy to the beauty of the cottage.

Guided walks and day-long hikes, within Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is famous for more than 250 species of birds – a paradise for bird watchers. For day-long hikes we organize a picnic lunch at a lovely spot in the forest, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the snow peaks.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 47 km over altitudes between 2000m and 2500m. This altitude range has blessed the region with a variety of flora and fauna and a healthy bird species of over 200 birds which includes Forktails, Blackbirds, Laughing thrush, Khaleej pheasant, Monal, Parakeet, Magpies, Nuthatches etc.

Bird Life International has listed Binsar as an important birding area.

The area around Dalar where we have our village house has a thriving bird population. It is commonplace to wake up to myriad bird calls from a variety of Tits, Sibias, Magpies, Woodpeckers and Barbets. For a nature lover a family of magpies in elegant flight is a sight to behold and this often happens in Binsar.

Walk down to Dalar village and visit the home of a villager to interact, learn their way of life. Also, visit the primary school at Dalar which has less than 10 students who love to meet and chat up guests. Spend some time interacting with the kids here, before heading to Dalar village homestay where you can enjoy some locally made tea/ lunch.

Cooking lesson with our chef at the Mary Budden cottage kitchen patio: Spend an afternoon or evening with our chefs, Ganesh and Gobind, both experts on Indian cuisine, learning how to make Indian cuisines.

Evening music performance by the MBE staff, around a bonfire: The staff at Mary Budden play the flute, and a make-shift drum and would love to regale guests with local Kumaoni songs and traditional dances. The hostess will be happy to translate these songs for you.

A forest environment awaits you in Corbett's southern jungles. Away from civilisation, the seasonal river nearby hosts grazing deer, root-digging wild boar and migrating elephant herds, enjoyed from the safety of our solar-fenced property. Our water bodies and forest cover, planted over a decade, are now home to several bird and mammalian species.

Spread over 15 acres of lush forests, the retreat gives you the wild ecosystems of Corbett at the doorstep of 18 aesthetically designed accommodation units. Fauna of all shape and size can be searched for and viewed during the many seasonal moods of Corbett, via Jeep Safaris, on Naturalist-led Interpretation and Bird Watching Walks and by Cycling Expeditions.

The food is farm-to-table fresh, organic and especially curated for the gastronomy-seeker, with dishes sourced from secret Raj recipes, from the hills of Kumaon, from the Mughlai kitchens of Rampur, and country-style contemporary world cuisine.
