Mara Crossings Camp is situated in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, near the Serena Pumphouse Crossing Point. Accommodation consists of luxury tents equipped with side lamps, clothing storage, scattered rugs, en-suite bathrooms, showers and bath amenities. There is a dining area where guests can enjoy meals. The camp consists of nine guest tents each with accommodation for two people.

ROOM DÉCOR:
The tents are spacious and with an exclusive yet friendly feel. Tents are tastefully furnished with local material and comfortable pillows made from colourful fabrics have been used to add on to the exotic feel. The beds are comfortable and wrapped in cosy blankets and soft towels.

ROOM AMENITIES:
Each tent contains a double /twin and single bed with bedside tables, torch, wardrobe for hanging your clothes, luggage rack, en-suite toilet with bucket shower and basin, writing desk with lamp, carpets on the floor, LED lighting and chairs and a table on the veranda for relaxing. Hot water bottles in each bed to chase the cold away at night.

Game drives in the Nairobi National Park

Your day in Nairobi Tented Camp starts with a freshly brewed hot drink bought to your tent before setting off for that famous safari tradition – an early morning game drive. Be lucky enough to catch the first rays of early morning sun as they burn off the nightly dusting of dew and stir the plains game gently to life.

After a morning filled with sightings of giraffe, buffalo, zebra, eland, impala and other antelopes, and an excellent chance of seeing rhino (both black rhino and white rhino are present in the park) as well as lion and if you very lucky, the elusive leopard, you return to camp for more warming cups of coffee, freshly baked breads and a hearty cooked breakfast.

All meals are carefully crafted to complement bush living without sacrificing on quality and you can relax after your three-course lunch in a swaying hammock under the shade of an olive tree.

When booked on our safari package you can substitute a game drive for a visit to the Elephant orphanage. (Must be Pre-booked and is subject to availability)

As the day cools and the sun starts its journey West it will be time for another game drive – a chance to catch that evasive moment where a lion might decide it’s time to hunt. Return to camp to drinks and stories around the campfire, before dinner under the vast African starlit sky and ultimately retire to bed.

The meals at Nairobi Tented Camp are crafted to complement the authenticity of the safari experience. All meals are served on a set menu basis, with warming hearty breakfast in the morning, light invigorating lunches served under the shade of an olive tree and dinners of soufflés and tender beef fillet served under the star filled sky. Everything at Nairobi Tented Camp is homemade and cooked with special care and attention. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know at the time of booking. Ice cold drinks are available from the fully stocked bar in the central mess tent.

Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp situated in Amboseli National Park in Kenya at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. The accommodation consists of self-contained tents with plush bedding, flush toilets, showers, and washbasins. Guests can enjoy delicious meals at the on-site restaurant set under acacia trees and overlooking the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Leisure amenities include a swimming pool, gift shop, an art gallery and a spa where guests can relax and unwind.
