Olive Grove Guesthouse | Windhoek

Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. The Olive Exclusive, the guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on décor. The newly renovated, open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. The upper deck has been revamped into a private dining corner, with two Moroccan-style sections, for guests to get comfy on the large pillows and enjoy the ambience and view from the top. The on-site Wellness Room offers a selection of professional services, to assist guests on their journey towards inner and outer well-being. Whilst each of the ten rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance.

Onguma Tented Camp | Onguma Game Reserve

Onguma Tented Camp is a beguiling mixture of sophistication and relaxation, of elegance and the earth.

It is this intriguing combination and attention to detail that makes Onguma Tented Camp, the ultimate in safari chic. In the local Herero language, Onguma means, "the place you don't want to leave." With a stunning main building and seven tents providing private, exclusive accommodation, Onguma Tented Camp, certainly lives up to its name.

An atmosphere of elegant dining prevails, complimented by the daily activities taking place around the watering hole, approximately 60 meters away. The surrounding nature lends itself to long lazy afternoons, spent relaxing on the sofas in the lounge, watching the animals go. And when things heat up, all that is required is a gentle stroll to the rim flow pool. Sit and relax in the flowing waters while enjoying an ice-cold cooler. Alternatively, if more strenuous activity is required, then relaxing on your patio and reading a good book should provide you with all the exercise you may need.

Like the bush where soft air blows against sharp thorns, Onguma Tented Camp is a study in contrasts. Textures such as stone, suede, linen and steel create a setting that is sleek and modern but also inherently of the earth. Inspired by a photograph of an Oryx on Etosha's Fisher's Pan, the interior echoes the colours of its natural surrounds. Grey, charcoal, black, white, and creams, together with a touch of muted or unexpectedly bright green, adds sophistication and earthiness to the atmosphere

Mowani Mountain Camp | Twyfelfontein

In the heat, dust and stunning landscapes of Damaraland, there is a sanctuary – Mowani Mountain Camp. Dwarfed by massive ochre boulders, the camp is absorbed into the landscape, making it one with our shared history of life in this prehistoric land. Every soft curve or ragged edge frames the landscape in a different way, as if you are seeing for the first time, every time.

Climb into an open-air vehicle and experience the rush of Africa. Mowani’s local guides share with their guests an intimate knowledge and respect for the land that they have built up over a lifetime. With new insight into local traditions, you will come to fully appreciate the geology, botany, and wildlife of the area. Local villagers are welcoming and keen to share their experiences.

We love our people and pride ourselves in being a part of the conservancy we operate in. We believe our community, wildlife and environment should continue to thrive beyond our time here. We invest in the backbone of our structure, our people, through training. Staying true to ‘umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu’, we are currently in the process of setting up a community vegetable garden so as to purchase our vegetables from a community-based vegetable garden in the conservancy as well as support other projects.

Being cognizant that we aren’t the only ones that inhibit this space, we expanded the waterhole to ensure a herd of 18 elephants have enough to drink when they pay us a visit. Our interest spans far beyond our conservancy, and we proudly support the desert lion project. To preserve our natural environment, we planted indigenous plants which are harvested and replanted around the lodge and waterhole. We ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ all our refuse and use energy saving bulbs as well as solar geysers to reduce our carbon footprint. The lodge was also designed with this mind – a high roof and ventilation ducts - results in a temperature change from inside and outside, of no more than 5 degrees on hot days.

Desert Homestead Lodge | Sossusvlei

Right on the doorstep of Namib-Naukluft National Park, not far from Sossusvlei, Desert Homestead Lodge is ideally suited for exploring the Namib Sand Sea – a World Heritage Site with some of the highest dunes in the world. We are located in the Namib Tsaris Conservancy, a private nature reserve of over 140,000 hectares, adjacent to NamibRand Nature Reserve in the west.

A laid-back atmosphere, panoramic views, extensive pool and terrace facilities, an excellent cuisine and a host of activities are distinguishing features of the lodge. The architecture is a contemporary interpretation of a stud farm’s manor house. Sophisticated furnishings and fittings in the main building as well as the guest cottages echo the theme. The main building houses the restaurant, lobby, and lounge.

Ecological sustainability is our standard for the Ondili Lodges. All of them run entirely on solar  energy, including solar water heaters. Process water from the laundry is reused.

Cottages, laid out in the style of a thatched equestrian farm, the guest chalets convey a rustic cosiness.

The Desert Homestead will ensure you an unrivalled respite from the desert extremes. Tranquil surroundings, Alfresco dining, delectably fresh farm cuisine, refreshing dips in the pool, stunning sunsets and sunrises are the basic pleasures at the lodge. And meandering across endless plains or discovering ancient water courses on a beautifully groomed steed is a magical and alternative way to appreciate your surroundings. The final remnants of each day see nature at her most profound. Rugged landscapes bathed in hues of pastel ... a truly humbling experience.

Wolwedans Desert Lodge | NamibRand Nature Reserve

The Dunes Lodge is perched on top of a dune plateau, overlooking panoramic vistas in all directions and capturing the beauty of the desert in a most memorable way. Building style is a combination of wooden structures and canvas blinds, opening up to the desert beyond. The lodge reflects the ambience of a tented camp but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building. Each of the nine spacious chalets with en-suite bathrooms sports a private veranda, which connects you to vast stretches of untouched sand. Sleeping with your canvas blinds open is just like sleeping under the stars. The main complex - which has completely been rebuilt during 2003 - consists of two lounges, a number of sundowner decks, a fireplace, a tea deck, a library, the wine cellar and two dining rooms. The lodge also has a swimming pool, which is suspended above the sand. All communal areas of the lodge open out onto decks with superb views.
