Flatdogs Camp | South Luangwa National Park

Flatdogs camp offers a mix of accommodations right next to the South Luangwa NP. The luxurious Crocodile Nest is a two bed-roomed tented house with private pool, which comes with a private vehicle and guide. The wilder Jackalberry Treehouse is a two bed-roomed, open-fronted reed house built on platforms around four live Ebony trees, over-looking a game rich waterhole. The chalets suit families perfectly as they feel more solid and the kids can walk through to their parents’ room without having to go outside. The luxury tents are spread out along the riverbank and are the “Africa under canvas” experience, often with elephant browsing around them and hippo grazing just outside. The standard tents are just a little smaller but still with full en-suite facilities.

The food at Flatdogs is renowned in the safari world as the a la carte restaurant serves a wide range of delicious & creative meals catering to all allergies, diets and preferences!

Safaris are led by expert guides who have studied all facets of the natural world. They can explain in detail the inter-locking ecology of the Park and use nature’s alarm calls to find interesting sightings for guests rather than following the herd!

Chikoko Trails | South Luangwa National Park

Slightly upstream from parent camp Tafika, Chikoko Trails is compromised of two camps: Chikoko Tree Camp and Big Lagoon camp (previously known as Crocodile River Camp). Both camps are only accessible by foot so guests experience true freedom of a walking wilderness free of roads, vehicles, other camps and relentless wifi!

The camps are set in beautiful more remote wilderness areas with fantastic wildlife densities. This is the only place where guests may experience walking safaris in a walking-only area.

Kanyemba Lodge | Lower Zambezi

Carved out of the African bush, Kanyemba is a wonderful getaway in the Lower Zambezi, only two and a half hours from the capital city of Lusaka.

Kanyemba's great atmosphere and vibe, the staff, the surrounding nature, expert guiding, and breathtaking scenery, along with our renowned cuisine will make your guests’ experience of Zambia's hospitality one to remember!

Kanyemba Lodge strives to provide a haven in which to enjoy the beauty and activities on offer in the Lower Zambezi. Catering for a maximum of 20 guests, the lodge comprises 6 stone and thatch “rondavel” chalets, each with their own large private deck overlooking the Zambezi River, full en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. Nestled on the banks of the Zambezi, Kanyemba Lodge is built of natural materials, and the chalets blend in perfectly with the surroundings, providing extreme comfort in the warmer months and a very high level of privacy.

In addition we offer a Family Unit which includes three individual suites – each with their own private entrance and en-suite bathrooms, but sharing a large deck area.

Stunning en-suite bathrooms include state-of-the-art fittings and bright mirror lighting. Chalets also include walk in wardrobes with shelving, hanging rails, digital safe, and plenty of room for storage. All chalets have 220V electricity (mains with full generator backup), ceiling fans, and mosquito netting.

Overlooking the river, the restaurant and bar allow spacious & relaxed dining. Meanwhile upstairs, guests can relax and enjoy the extensive library and lounge with a view across the river – the perfect space to while away the afternoon!

Each evening guests are treated to Kanyemba Lodge’s famous cuisine under the branches of a giant wild Mango Tree. With a distinctly Italian influence, our team of chefs will wow your palate at the same time as the “Kanyemba Chorus” of hyena, frogs, and of course the odd lion, will wow your mind.

We also have a swimming pool beautifully situated on the banks of the river, with built-in benches that allow a retreat from the hotter hours of the day - whilst sipping a G&T and watching the elephants on the opposite bank.
