Twee Rivieren Rest Camp | Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (South Africa)

In a setting such as the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park's, where striking red sand dunes are offset by sparse, hardy vegetation and resilient desert wildlife, Twee Rivieren camp possesses the character and stature of a desert camp to be remembered.

Occupying an impressive position on the dry Nossob river bed, the camp is revered for its seasonal migrations of desert herbivores, such as blue wildebeest and red hartebeest, as well as the ever-trailing predators, yielding exciting hunts and game viewing from virtually all corners of the camp.

This popular rest camp offers a range of accommodation types to suit a variety of tastes and budgets including family cottages, chalets and camp sites. The accommodation is air conditioned and has fully equipped kitchens.

Twee Rivieren is the Park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the banks of the dry Nossob Riverbed. Activities and facilities are diverse, as are the animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas.

Twee Rivieren has a reception, shop, fuel, restaurant, information centre and swimming pool. This is the only camp with 24 hrs electricity and cell phone reception.

This camp is the administrative headquarters of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park as a whole, and the largest rest camp within its borders. (ITT)
