This ceremony, which has ancestral, millenary origins, is a tradition in the indigenous communities. According to tradition, the ceremony is held in the month of August when the earth is prepared for sowing. There are different types of ceremonies and offerings for harvests, health, love, etc.

The idea behind the offering is to give in order to receive, as Pachamama / Mother Earth gives us air to breathe, water to quench our thirst, and food to eat without asking for anything in return.

Guests will have an amazing experience equipped with an explorer kit for the kids, a map, and their guides. The engaging Adventures with Allco and his friends in Machu Picchu experience allows you to discover this wonder and learn more about its background and architectural design.  

The half-day tour includes:

The Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel provides a room for gentle beauty and wellness treatments to boost vitality and deepen your connection to the natural world. "Aqlla," in the native Quechua language, means chosen or selected. Feel free to indulge in any therapies that use aspects of Machu Picchu's natural environment, either alone or in a romantic setting. 

We will have a Master Class on Peru's signature dish, ceviche, prepared in the rare fashion of hot ceviche over embers on Andean stones, complete with a sample of cane distillates from the Andes. The two culinary endeavors are designed to improve sustainable products from farming areas and traditional Peruvian cuisine. This dish speaks to the rich history, diverse local products, and fusion. The assortment of Caña Alta distillates will transport you on a sensory voyage where you may savor the distinct tastes of Andean fruits and herbs. Certain items, like canes from the heights of Apurímac or bitter cocoa from the Quillabamba jungle, are sourced from fertile high Andean and tropical regions. 

Following the master class demonstration, attendees can sample the spicy ceviche and select a cocktail highlighting Caña Alta. This service accommodates two to eight people and lasts around forty-five minutes. It consists of a private chef and a bartender demonstrating culinary skills: creating a warm ceviche and tasting three drinks produced using distillates from cane—a drink made with a cane distillate of the participant's choosing. 

In the Sumaq Mini Chef Classes, the little experts will be guided by our pastry chefs, who will take an hour to teach them how to make Andean cookies using kiwicha, maca, and quinoa, among other ingredients. Duration: 45 minutes Schedule: 11:00 am Capacity: 2 to 10 people
