11 Night South Luangwa & Lake Malawi - On a Budget

Located in Lilongwe, Malawi, Kumbali Basecamp provides a secure and unspoilt natural environment. At this camp volunteer, school, or corporate groups can plan or reflect on their work, rediscover nature, or simply take time to re-energise.

The camp offers dorm-style accommodation, as well as a camping space. The camp features a well-kept communal ablutions area, a laundry service, and 24/7 security. Guests can enjoy a healthy set menu offering a nutritious and diverse offering of meals made from locally-sourced organic produce.

Croc Valley is situated on the Luangwa River overlooking the South Luangwa Park and 5 minutes away from the main gate.

Accommodation ranges from camping on the banks of the river to luxury tents on the Luangwa River.

We are very flexible and can accommodate anybody from groups to honeymoon couples.

Animals roam freely through our lodge and you can sip a gin and tonic and watch them cross the Luangwa River.

We offer game drives as well as walking safaris and many other activities.

The Funky Cichlid is named after the awesome little multi-coloured fish found in Lake Malawi called Cichlids ('sick-lids'). Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive. It lies behind a small beach on the island's west side. The camp is run on a self-catered basis, with guests making use of the kitchen facilities to prepare their own meals. The kitchen has two full-time staff members, and is fully stocked with fridges, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery.

Accommodation consists of three fully-furnished safari tents and two tent sites, complemented by a dining area with bar and a water sport gazebo.
