All rooms come with air conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe, mosquito nets, tea and coffee-making facilities, multi-plugs, and good lighting. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and double vanity.

The Chobe Elephant Camp is a  rustic camp located on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the spectacular Chobe River which is home to an abundance of elephant, crocodile and hippo. The entire camp can sleep 36 guests who will enjoy the sweeping views of the Chobe River from the comfort of their suites.

The lodge prides itself on being eco-friendly and is built from the same red Kalahari Sand that dominates the northern part of Botswana. This is an authentic safari lodge with a minimalist atmosphere to the camp. Fitted with a curio guests are also able to take with them souvenirs.

A large, open-plan lounge area opens out onto a wooden deck with a small splash pool. Guests will never be short of activities and can enjoy anything from boating on the Chobe River to game drives in open safari vehicles.

Our Chalets offer high comfort with the feel and look of the traditional farmstead located in the African wilderness. Polished floors, exposed wooden beams and weathered furniture capture this rustic charm. Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge the chalets provide an amazing view over the floodplains of the famous Chobe River.

The camp has 2 family chalets on site, each with 2 twin or double rooms and an interleading lounge.. Each room is en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning and ceiling fan, safe, and private veranda. An extra, third bed can be added on request. The whole lodge has been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views over the Chobe River, so whether you choose to relax on your private veranda, read a book in the lounge, have a drink at the bar or cool off in the pool, the vista will always be there to enjoy.

Bush Ways Safaris operates three types of mobile safaris experience: Adventure Camping, Premium Camping and Accommodated (lodge to lodge).

For the Adventure Camping safaris, guests are only required to pitch and fold their own tent. All cooking, cleaning and any other camp chores are taken care of by the Bush Ways Safari team, made up of an experienced local safari guide and a camp assistant. We provide 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m dome tents and a comfortable 5cm high density foam mattress. We mostly camp in areas with no formal ablutions, and therefore build our own bush toilet and shower when camping in these areas.

Guests travel in a Bush Ways custom-built safari vehicle. All Bush Ways safari vehicles are specially designed to offer optimum comfort and maximize game viewing and photographic opportunities for the guests. Each vehicle has been designed to seat 16 guests but takes a maximum of 12 during Adventure Camping Safaris, which ensures excellent game viewing and mobility.

Dome tents

Camping equipment and accommodation: spacious bow tents with mattresses. Tents are 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m. A 5cm high density foam mattress is provided for each guest. Ablutions are shared and set up by our team when staying in game reserves and national park campsites. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bag (and a small pillow) for all camping. Bush Ways Botswana is happy to provide sleeping bags on rental at an extra cost.

The Dune Camp is situated on a vegetated dune overlooking spectacular views of the Kalahari valleys. The Camp is on the north-eastern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in one of the largest private game reserves in Botswana. Deception Valley Private Reserve spans more than 43 000Ha of pristine Kalahari wilderness. Designated waterholes, hidden viewing hides, vegetated dunes, natural pans and an amazing valley, offer incredible game viewing opportunities. The camp also gives you an opportunity to embrace the San culture as they share intricate knowledge about their way of life. This cultural exchange is a fundamental part of the Kalahari experience, offering a once in a lifetime experience to your stay. Guests can take advantage of wildlife activities which include: open vehicle game drives in the private reserve and a San trail and nature walk with local Naru tribe. The waterhole is a major attraction and hours can be spent sitting at the main area enjoying the view and activity as the wildlife comes for a drink.
