The Duba Plains Suite is an intimate, two room exquisite tented villa located on the 33,000-hectare Duba Plains Private Reserve in northern Botswana, an area tucked into pristine Okavango Delta wildlife habitat at the base of the Okavango's Panhandle. Many consider this region of Botswana to be the Okavango Delta’s Maasai Mara because of the sheer volume of wildlife. There is simply no other safari experience on offer like this in the Okavango Delta.The entire Duba Plains Suite is raised on recycled railway sleeper decking and offers guests amazing views of the surrounding floodplain and the steady stream of wildlife parading past. The heart of the Duba Plains Suite is a centrally located indoor dining area flanked by two lounge seating areas. The Dhow Suite at Zarafa is an intimate, two bedroom, exclusive use tented suite located on the 130,000-hectare Selinda Reserve in northern Botswana. The Reserve is home to some of the classic species, such as leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, Red lechwe, zebra and giraffe, and is also a refuge for more uncommon species such as African wild dog, cheetah, roan and sable. The Suite is located adjacent to Zarafa Camp and overlooking the Zibadianja Lagoon. Zarafa Camp and the Dhow Suite are the brainchild of the founders of Great Plains Conservation. The suite 210 square metres (2,260 sq ft) set under flowing canvas, with canopy ceilings and completely open (yet netted) sides. Entering through the heavy wood Lamu door transports guests to a lavish space of deep reds, browns, brass and copper. Central to The Dhow Suite is a full lounge and dining area, with two identical bedrooms off either side of the main area. A large decking area fronts onto the suite with a 5 x 2.5 metre swimming pool and views of pristine Botswana wilderness.
