Upstream from the iconic Victoria Falls in the Zambezi National Park lies a pristine piece of land on the banks of the Zambezi River. The untouched natural beauty of the park is sprawled over 56 000 breathtaking hectares. The activities offered at Old Drift Lodge emphasise the rich natural environment, focusing on the abundance of wildlife that roam through the Park and swim the Zambezi River. The Zambezi National Park can be explored by road, river or on foot, satisfying guests' needs to experience every aspect of this natural utopia.
The main lodge area has 360-degree views, north facing onto the Zambezi & south facing onto a water hole. Only 4.5 kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls, Old Drift Lodge is the closest lodge within the National Park to Victoria Falls. Luxury boats transport guests to the lodge which offers 10 double suites and 4 family suites.
Old Drift Lodge offers family friendly accommodation, with each air-conditioned suite decorated with stylish furnishings, fitting of the bygone eras, which blend in seamlessly with the natural environment. The spacious canvas en-suite rooms all have a private lounge, viewing deck, indoor and outdoor showers, plunge pool and an outdoor bath overlooking the Zambezi.

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated atop a range of remote hills with panoramic views over Lake Kariba near the North Eastern border of the Matusadona National Park and is easily accessible by light aircraft and boat, allowing you to be transported into the camp without the stress of a long journey. The closest international airport is Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport which is 317 km away.
The safari lodge has a total of 10 rooms, all with views over Lake Kariba. Taking centre stage is the beautiful infinity pool that seems to blend endlessly into the lake horizon. The pool is surrounded by intimate wine and dining terraces on different levels. The lodge interiors have been beautifully finished in a fusion of contemporary western and African styles. The bar and dining deck, situated on a ridge below the pool, offer uninterrupted views of the changing pink-to-red-to-orange skies and sunsets that Lake Kariba is famous for.
The spa and gym at the lodge provide a place for guests to relax and rejuvenate, where safari-goers can unwind. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated on an extensive wildlife conservation area and is home to lion, leopard, big herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as a multitude of different plains game. Activities include guided walking safaris, boating, fishing for tigerfish or bream, sunset cruises and day and night game drives all are led by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. Kanga Camp is set in the most remote part of the World Heritage Site in Mana Pools in the Kanga Pan. The diverse area has multiple vlei lines, river systems of the Ruckomechi River, and mixed woodland types from Mopane woodland to Jesse bush and riverine forests. Kanga Pan itself is the only known water source in the area available throughout the year, making it a hub for wildlife and a delight to explore on foot. Pristine and undeveloped, this area gives you a pure, unspoilt, private African safari experience.
The camp offers six tents, of which two are honeymoon tents. The main area has a comfortable lounge and dining area offering you views of a very active water hole. Relax in the lounge under the shade of a mahogany tree, or sit on the deck below, near the splash pool and enjoy Kanga − the old Africa in a new era.
Besides game drives and walking excursions, an hour’s drive brings you to the Zambezi flood plains. Kanga provides guests with an overall view of the inland and riverside experiences available in Mana Pools. (ITT)
