Individual Units

Uniquely positioned amid an indigenous Mopane forest, the accommodation units at Etosha Village ensure maximum privacy and tranquillity.

The 55 individual units offer a spacious air-conditioned bedroom and a modern en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and wash basin with vanity space. Each twin-bedded room features a fold-out sleeper couch, electronic safe, space for suitcases, hanging space and a refreshment station with a fridge and coffee- or tea making facilities.

Two small children under the age of 12 years can be accommodated on the fold-out sleeper couch free of charge (meal charges applicable) when sharing the room with two full paying adults. Please enquire with your booking to ensure preparations are made as required.

The patio and outside seating area create an ideal space to sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

The two handicapped and wheelchair friendly units are designed with a ramp instead of stairs, a more spacious bathroom for easy wheelchair access and the room has a different interior arrangement for easier access.

Etosha Village Restaurant

At a typical Namibian Rural Village families are divided into three areas when dining. Traditionally one area is dedicated to men, one to women and the other for the elderly and children. When Etosha Village was designed, we remained true to this tradition and created three different dining areas at our restaurant, but of course not split into gender groups.

Etosha Village is well known for inspiring cuisine and many guests have claimed that it is the best buffet dinner experience in Namibia! You can start your day with a scrumptious buffet breakfast with an extensive selection of all the favourite delectable breakfast foods and treats.

Lunch is served a' la carte with loads of mouth-watering dishes to choose from.

The popular buffet dinner will leave you spoiled for choice between the salads, side dishes, grilled meats and stir-fries - all prepared fresh and in front of every guest! For the perfect ending there is a range of decadent dessert sensations as well as a variety of cheeses and biscuits.*

At the buffet area there is a 24 hour coffee station with a variety of coffees and teas to enjoy at any time!

Enticing lunch packs can also be ordered the evening before at reception to take along on self-drives or guided excursions to Etosha National Park.

MUSHARA BUSH CAMP

Mushara Bush Camp is situated a mere 10 kilometers from the Von Lindequist gate of the world famous Etosha National Park. The Mushara Bush Camp offers a down-to-earth tented bush camp experience which is well suited as a basis base for independent travelers and families exploring the magical Etosha Pan National Park.

The main Bush Camp House is thatched and has a true bush camp feel to it. The early evenings see a campfire lit where guest can exchange stories of the day’s wildlife sightings. Dinner, lunch and breakfast are served on the thatched verandah with the bush being a mere step away. The Mushara Bush Camp is your optimal family destination on the doorstep to the magical Etosha National Park.

The 16 custom made en-suite tents are built from a combination of canvas, wood and local limestone. With their own 8 square metre private verandah and roof to floor windows, theses rooms are spacious and airy. Each large bathroom has an oversized window and shower looking into the surrounding bush. The brushed cement floors and lime stone walls keep the rooms cool from the afternoon sun. Four of these tents are ideally suited for families with small children as they have a
sleeper couch for two children.

The Bush Rooms at Shametu River Lodge offer a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option, ideal for travellers seeking a simple stay close to nature. Designed for practicality and ease, these rooms provide essential amenities while maintaining a relaxed, natural atmosphere.

The Bush Rooms are built in a connected block structure on brick foundations, with each room having its own private entrance for convenience and privacy. Each unit features an en-suite bathroom with hot water, a fan for cooling, and basic furnishings to ensure a comfortable stay. The Bush Rooms also include a television, making them the only room category at the lodge equipped with in-room TV facilities.

Room 19 is larger and suitable for a family of up to four guests, offering additional space for comfort. While not air-conditioned, the rooms are well suited for guests who prefer a more rustic experience without compromising on essential amenities.

Located approximately 60 metres from the main lodge building, guests have easy walking access to the restaurant, pool, and activities, while still enjoying a quieter setting away from the main area.
