Fig Tree Bush Camp is situated next to a beautiful beach created by the dried sand banks of the Shishamba River. The camp overlooks a large lagoon, 1.7 km long and about 60m wide.
This lagoon maintains it’s alluring water throughout the season attracting an array of wildlife including Elephant, Puku, Impala, Warthog, Zebra, and Hartebeest. Predators like Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and Hyena are regular visitors. The Wild Dog in the area have also been frequent visitors to the area and prey on the concentration of game.
The camp is made up of a Boma and 4 raised Luxury Safari Tents. Each safari tent has an en-suite bathroom and veranda presenting a unique view from the tree canopy. Guests will then come together underneath the Fig Tree to savour the serenity of the lagoon as well as delicious food and wine.
Game drives take place twice a day. Walking safaris are also an option in the cool of the morning and allow guests to explore the surroundings and what they overlook on the drives.
After dinner guests will sit around a campfire, feet in the sand, gazing at the stars and listening to the sounds of the African Bush.

Set in an area of pristine wilderness, KaingU Lodge offers a magnificent game and safari experience in the heart of the African bush. The lodge is environmentally-friendly, with the architecture of the entire camp and associated buildings designed to blend in and harmonise with the surroundings. Maximum use has been made of existing trees, rocky outcrops and topographical features in its layout and construction, thereby minimising the impact on the original look and feel of the area. The focal point of the lodge is the thatched central area with lounge, dining room and bar overlooking the river. Situated on a high plateau, KaingU enjoys an all-year-round moderate climate and is accessible in all seasons with good road and air access.
Perhaps the greatest feature of the lodge is the absolutely unique river landscape where the lodge is located. It is the only lodge on this unique stretch of river where the Kafue spreads out into a myriad of rocky channels and island before rejoining to flow into the lake. Game drives are usually done in the National Park (a ten minute boat ride away), while boating, canoeing, walks and even lounging in rock pools is also all on offer!

Just 45 minutes from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, Langani Safari is a luxurious retreat set within untouched bushland near Chisamba—offering an exclusive escape into Zambia’s wild heart.
Langani is home to three of Africa’s Big Five—rhinos, buffalo, and lions—alongside all the famously recognized African animals, including giraffes, zebras, and more. The reserve also features rare species like golden wildebeest and Indian deer, carefully sourced from across Africa. With large populations and an abundance of wildlife, Langani offers the rare chance to encounter a wide range of species all in one place. While the animals roam freely, we ensure they are exceptionally well cared for and protected.
More than just a safari, Langani offers a traditional Zambian experience delivered in luxury. From warm hospitality to locally inspired cuisine, every detail reflects the spirit and soul of Zambia.
Guests enjoy game drives, guided bush walks, birdwatching, fishing, pedal boating, and wine tastings by our two large dams. Villas are thoughtfully spaced throughout the wilderness and feature floor-to-ceiling glass, private plunge pools, open-air bathtubs, and outdoor showers—designed for full immersion in nature without sacrificing comfort.
Every guest leaves Langani revived, inspired, and deeply connected—to nature, to Africa, and to themselves.
