CLASSIC ROOMS

The Plains Camp lies within the secluded wilderness area of the Reserve and has majestic sunset views. Game drives in search of elusive leopards and guided bush walks offer visitors an intimate, up-close perspective of Namibia’s wildlife with special emphasis on its most endangered species.

Its design honours the founding family, the Hanssen’s family cattle-farming history with its accommodation facility of 11 large View Rooms and 14 spacious Classic Rooms. The Plains Camp Barn includes a warm dining and lounge area with views over a spectacular waterhole and the Okonjima plains.

The 14 Classic, standard Rooms also offer views of the Okonjima grass plains, but they are slightly smaller compared to the View Rooms.
Among them, four rooms combine to create two spacious family units. The family unit comprising rooms 1 and 2 is located nearest to the barn, while the second family unit with rooms 13 and 14 is situated about 600 meters away. The rooms are thoughtfully spaced 10 to 15 meters apart, ensuring a degree of privacy from the entertainment area at the barn.

Each Classic Room features:
- A compact veranda equipped with two director’s chairs
- Wheelchair ramp for accessibility
- Two double beds
- WiFi connectivity; mobile-phone reception.
- Air Conditioning suitable for cooling down in Summer months & heating the room in Winter months
- A table, and two director’s chairs
- A tea and a coffee station equipped with freshly ground coffee and a French press (plunger) for your early morning ‘cup of java’.

VIEW ROOMS

The 11 expansive View Rooms derive their name from the stunning vistas they offer across the Okonjima grass plains. Positioned at distances ranging from 20 to 70 meters apart, these rooms provide a serene haven removed from the entertainment hub at the Plains Camp Barn. Unit number one and the generously-sized family unit (consisting of rooms three and four) are located nearest to the Barn.

Each View Room features:
- A spacious veranda, complete with a day-bed and two loungers
- Wheelchair ramp for accessibility
- Two double beds
- WiFi connectivity; mobile-phone reception,
- Air Conditioning suitable for cooling down in Summer months & heating the room in Winter months.
- A functional desk with a telephone for reaching out to reception; and a comfortable reading chair
- A tea and a coffee station equipped with freshly ground coffee and a
- French press (plunger) for your early morning ‘cup of java’.

All rooms are en-suite with shower and toilet with basic amenities. Bedding and linen with towels are provided.
Each room has a fan, no air conditioning. Rooms have electric lighting and power points for devices.
The rooms have running hot and cold water. Hot water is generated by "donkey" geyser in the mornings and evenings.

The family unit can sleep up to six family members or a group of friends. It has a large bath room built out of natural stone with shower, double basin and toilet, and basic amenities. The roof is open air with a net covering to allow for a nature experience.
There is one double room, twin room and a lounge that can accommodate two extra single beds.
Bedding, linen and towels are provided.
Each room has a fan, no air conditioning. Rooms have electric lighting and power points for devices.
The bath room has running hot and cold water. Hot water is generated by "donkey" geyser in the mornings and evenings.

The Chobe Safari Lodge has clusters of luxury rooms and suites spread out across the large property, giving

the spacious and uncrowded feel of smaller boutique lodges that share the same world-class facilities.

Our Luxury Rooms comprise 46 Safari Rooms, 15 River Rooms and 8 Rondavels which have beautiful Chobe

River views, and 38 Bush Rooms are set back from the river overlooking a waterhole and into the Chobe

National Park.

All rooms are available in King or Twin configuration. Each room has a private balcony area, a writing desk,

coffee and tea making facilities, two bottles of complimentary water each day, a minibar fridge,

complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and a multitude of charging options and points for

phones, cameras, tablets and laptops as well as sleep aides.

Our ensuite bathrooms are all generous in size, with water-saving fixtures, rain showers, plenty of lighting and

ample counter space for your travel amenities. In addition, the Safari Rooms and Bush Rooms have bathtubs.
