Guided Excursions
Torres del Paine National Park has four distinct regions spanning 2,400 square kilometres, each one with its own character and offering unique and epic landscapes to explore. Guests are encouraged to study the map at the hotel and locate the landmarks and areas they want to visit during their stay.
With Tierra Patagonia as luxury base, explore all four regions of Torres del Paine National Park and witness soaring, snow-covered granite spires, glaciers calving into turquoise lakes and native wildlife in its natural habitat. Discover the region’s untamed beauty via a wide range of guided excursions on two feet, horseback or take to the water on a thrilling cruise.
Two half day excursions or one full day excursion daily with other guests is included in the tariff. Additional group or private guided excursions can be arranged at additional cost subject to availability.
Saddle up for a horseback ride with the local Chilean gauchos at Estancia Lazo, traversing mixed terrain including ancient lenga forest before the trail reveals astonishing views of the Paine Massif. On the southern shore of Lake Sarmiento lies the ranch Estancia Lazo. Amidst this idyllic setting, guests meet the local Chilean gauchos and their trusty steeds for a horseback adventure.

Onsite Restaurant
The food at Tierra Hotels is simple, hearty and delicious. Seafood from the Straits of Magellan and Beagle Canal is used, meats and lamb from the nearby ranches as well as calafate and myrtle berries from the surrounding pampas. There are tasty options and imaginative vegetarian meals.
A typical starter would be locally sourced king crab set in a flavorful gazpacho soup. Followed by a choice of Garron of roasted lamb accompanied by candied vegetables with puree of polenta or southern hake with cream of avocado and shrimp flambe in pisco. For dessert, a delicious calafate tiramisu with pine nuts and caramelized rhubarb.
