Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge | Tarangire National Park

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge is located in the heart of Tarangire, Tanzania’s wild land and landscapes. Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs. It is the lesser visited but more intriguing park on the northern circuit.

At Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge, we have 10 standard tented suites PLUS 2 x 2 bedroom inter-connected tented family suites, and one honeymoon tent with outdoor shower that are open throughout the year. During these dry months, the massive elephants herds travel through the corridor between Manyara and Tarangire and spend their time in and around the park. This is because of their ability to uncover permanent sources of fresh water. We endeavour to retain the uniqueness and intimacy of the camp, while being directed by the location, wildlife and other factors of responsible tourism. The main thatched area is open plan from bar to lounge to dining area - and offset with a stunning rim flow pool in front of the property overlooking the wild expanses ahead, all the way to the Great Rift Valley wall.

Mandhari Lodge | Lake Manyara National Park

Aligned with soaring flamingos, Mandhari Lodge is situated high on the Manyara Escarpment which forms part of the Great Rift Valley. ‘Mandhari’ means ‘view, scenery, landscape’ in Swahili, and with a bird’s eye view of the great expanse from Lake Natron to Mondulli Mountains and across Lake Manyara, this lodge offers breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset.

Swaddled in the colours of the earth, the lodge offers a unique medley of accommodation options; nine dramatic, glass-fronted standard suites, one honeymoon suite, one cosy family suite for up to 4 people and one incredible 4-bedroom (up to 8 people) Nasikia Villa with private plunge pool. All suites and villa have an unob- structed view across the dreamy landscape below.

The large, core gathering area of reception, dining, lounge, bar and swimming pool is largely an open eucalypt platform filled with hand-crafted furnishings and woven delights.

Use the lodge to delve into the hearts of Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater – or simply remain in the grasp of its surroundings with an extensive range of cultural delights to absorb: traditional spa treatments, highlands hiking, Tinga Tinga painting lessons, Swahili cooking lessons, African drumming, customary dancing, the ancient art of yoga and more. Welcome to soulful Tanzania.

It's location is a natural alcove, it is protected with lush vegetation, but with a small open plain for game watching a stone' throw away. It is also in good distance for central Serengeti game driving, and also the wildlife-filled habitats around the Moru Kopjes. Combine crisp white sheets, gentle Serengeti breezes, running hot water, attractive neurtal decor with a pop of colour, comfortable sitting area, Victorian desk to record adventures, WI-FI and an efficient service - this is how wild elegance is served. Wash off the 'safari powder' in the large shower recess or relax outside the tent to hear the sounds of the wild. Located on an elevated viewing point beside the famous Moru Kopjes, this tented camp allows for drive in and game package clients to explore the resident and migratory wild game all year round. The landscape pans from the great southern plains of the Serengeti into the central hub of the most famous national park in Africa, close to Seronera Airstrip. The tented suites cater for honeymooners with private bush dinners, a small group of friends and even families with large tents to place bedding for two adults and up to three children.
