With only two cooking stations per class, guests can enjoy a truly immersive Thai cooking experience that will leave them with amazing memories to take home. Guests will join the chef for an optional excursion by Tuk-Tuk to the local fresh market for a first-hand look at the remarkable produce available here in Bangkok’s Old Town. Upon returning to the hotel, guests will cook and then enjoy three delicious dishes of their choice. Whether participants are first-timers or seasoned chefs, they will never forget cooking under a traditional Thai teakwood house, overlooking the Chao Phraya River. Private cooking classes are available with or without the local market tour, and reservations are required one day in advance.

The Siam redefines the idyllic easy weekend environment lets guests escape the stress of modern life and immerse themselves in Thai comfort for a ‘sabai sabai’ weekend with friends and loved ones. Guests will arrive at The Siam in style after a private 30 minute cruise along Bangkok’s River of Kings. While sipping a welcome drink upon their arrival, the leisurely weekend starts with gorgeous home-style dishes, enjoyed against a magical river backdrop. Guests will sample a variety of fresh and original à la carte Thai and Western-inspired dishes prepared by the hotel's chefs, and served directly to them.

The Golden Naga has been refurbished with cruising comfort in mind. From the luxury of the stern or rooftop daybeds, guests will enjoy the most stunning views of the Bangkok waterfront including sunset and nighttime views of the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Chinatown and the Bangkok skyline. Since launching, the cruise has become the signature excursion at The Siam, as well as the most comfortable way to see Bangkok. The boat is available for private sunset charters for dinner or just cocktails and canapés. We also arrange small group excursions, however, seating is limited to 8 passengers.

Muay Thai is not simply a fighting sport, it also helps to increase fitness and emotional wellbeing. The Siam’s gymnasium is the first professionally equipped luxury Muay Thai facility in Bangkok. The hotel offers training programmes suitable for beginners to advanced, and from one day to one week training courses. The experienced Muay Thai trainers will work with guests individually based on their abilities and fitness levels.

The Siam has integrated an ancient Thai tradition with the opening of a specially consecrated space devoted to the inking of sacred tattoos. Yant is a traditional form of tattooing magical ancient geometric and deity symbols with Buddhist prayers onto the body. These yants impart magical powers of luck, protection, charisma, and fortune onto the wearer. Ajarn Boo, the in-house tattoo artist inks all tattoos by hand using traditional khem. Ajarn’s recommendation is to begin with a simple Hah Taew (5 Line Yant) or Gao Yord (9 Line Yant) to ensure that guests can handle the nature of the experience.

Guests at The Siam are just a short luxury cruise boat ride away from all of Bangkok’s riverside attractions. With both open air and air-conditioned seating available, there is no better way to get around Bangkok.

Guests can make the most of The Siam’s riverside location and marvel at the splendour of sunset by spending a quiet afternoon with a cocktail or two on the private pier. Featuring a spacious, fixed wooden deck and a floating pontoon for private mooring, this stunning spot over the Chao Praya is safely fenced and glows by lamplight at night.

Chon is the Thai word for spoon, their very own symbol of service, dining and sharing. At The Siam’s signature Thai restaurant and cooking school, guests will be served a truly, local meal while enjoying some fascinating history. Set within a cluster of three, century-old Thai teakwood houses which were once part of antique dealer and OSS agent Connie Mangksau’s home, this hallowed venue entertained global glitterati the likes of Jackie Kennedy, John Rockefeller, Roger Moore, William Holden and Henry Ford to name but a few. Guests can sip on Connie’s favourite Thai tipple of whisky soda while sampling The Siam’s revival of traditional, home-cooked Thai cuisine and surrender to Chon’s authentic charm overlooking the Chao Phraya River and its spectacular sunsets.

The snappy black and white interiors of Deco Bar & Bistro bring to life Thailand’s Art Deco period, with international comfort cuisine inspired by the jazzy ambiance. Split over 2 levels accessible by a vintage-mirrored, Escher-esque staircase with soaring ceilings, Deco Bar & Bistro houses a dazzling display of wall-mounted brass instruments while offering cosy booths, chic tables and stylish bar seating alongside an outdoor roof terrace. Guests can enjoy bountiful breakfasts, languid light lunches, sundowner small plates and decadent dinners. Open all day, this is the perfect place for casual chic dining evoking the lively atmosphere of a bygone era.

Guests can enjoy a morning coffee, indulge in afternoon tea or pick up a box of pastries for a mid-afternoon coffee break at Cafe Cha. The restaurant is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, and serves croissants, danishes, muffins, macarons, freshly baked bread, sandwiches, as well as full afternoon tea with champagne. Set amongst the serenity and opulence of the art deco inspired gardens of The Siam's lobby, guests will quickly become addicted to this sanctuary. With complimentary internet, Café Cha is the perfect place to meet after dropping the kids at school, to have a comfortable meeting or to find inspiration for a project or task.

Adjacent to the infinity pool along the riverfront lawn, the Bathers Bar offers in-house guests refreshing, light snacks, poolside bites and beverages after a soothing, cool dip. Guests can sit back in their spacious daybed and sip on sunset cocktails while taking in the unencumbered, private views over the majestic Chao Praya river.
