Highlanders Camp is conveniently situated in the scenic region of Namaqualand on the Cape/Namibia N7 Route & is the perfect stopover. It is nestled among the wine farms on the Olifants river, at the foot of the Cedarberg mountain range in the Klawer wine region. The setting is simply stunning!

The owner Sparky, has a mass of experience in the hospitality trade as an ex-overland truck driver/guide. He has put this knowledge to good use in his design of the camp, ensuring all camping needs are met.

Highlanders is set on 3 levels therefore giving campers plenty of space between each of the 5 individual camp areas. Each camp has a 'braai' pit, sink unit & power. Our latest addition is our 12 roomed (ensuite) Lodge. There are stunning mountain views from the solar-powered hot showers .

The wondrous Twee Rivieren Rest Camp is idyllically located in the magical Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park, where one can admire striking red sand dunes offset by sparse, hardy vegetation and resilient desert wildlife.

The campsite, which is the park's largest camp and administrative headquarters, occupies an impressive position on the dry Nossob river bed. The property boasts campsites, tented camps, and self-catering options, with the capacity to sleep around 288 guests. Additionally, there is 24-hour electricity and cell phone reception. Excursion into the Fish River Canyon Area Morning Hike Sunrise Walk Canyon Drive Sundowner Drive in Gondwana Canyon Park

Experience the wild expanse of the Gondwana Canyon Park where the fences of ten farms were dismantled to recreate a Namibian Eden. Take a guided drive to the Fish River Canyon to be inspired by new perspectives. Celebrate sunrise amidst the quiver trees and sunset from a hillock, overlooking spectacular scenery. The Canyon lodges are comfortable havens to take a break from the road. Explore and discover the ancient wonderland, or simply luxuriate in the peace, lounging at the poolside, snoozing in the coolness of your chalet or sitting on the terrace dipping into a book.

This hike (about 6 km) takes you right into Gondwana Canyon Park. You are accompanied by a guide who will gladly share his knowledge about the fascinating desert landscape around the canyon. This tour does not include the Fish River Canyon. (Approx. 3 hours)

We drive you to a spot with a grand view. Watch the sunrise while enjoying coffee and tea. Then we walk back the short distance to the lodge. This tour does not include the Fish River Canyon. (Approx. 1 hour)

Especially for guests who want a break from the wheel or those on a fly-in safari. You are taken to the two major lookout points along the Fish River Canyon. Our guide will tell you all about the canyon's fascinating geology. (Approx. 3 hours)

The 3 hour drive is the perfect opportunity for you to acquaint yourself with the geology, flora and fauna of the Gondwana Canyon Park. This tour does not include the Fish River Canyon. It starts at Canyon Lodge or Canyon Village. Approx. 3 hours

The nearest restaurant is situated at the adjacent Sossusvlei Lodge. A mountain oasis in the Namib desert, Spitzkoppe Campsites is nestled amidst oversized boulders and secret caves, with the majestic Namibian "Matterhorn" as a backdrop. The property is home to 31 campsites that can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests per site. There are bathrooms available near the campsite, while hot showers are near the reception. Famous for its lighted oasis, Okaukuejo Camp, Etosha's administrative centre, rests in the south of Etosha National Park and is only 17 km from Anderson Gate. The camp is well recognised by its characteristic stone tower and the Etosha Ecological Institute. Located in the eastern part of Etosha National Park, Namutoni Camp is built into an old German fort and features an elevated view of the King Nehale Waterhole. The camp is in close proximity to Fisher’s Pan, making it a hotspot for birders. Fort Namutoni was declared a national monument in 1950 and was opened to tourism in 1957.

The camp features spacious and comfortable chalets with en-suite bathrooms. There are 2 restaurants at the camp, African Fusion and The Steakhouse. Other camp facilities include a bar, a shop, a petrol station, and a swimming pool.
