Deposit and Booking Requirements
· This quotation is subject to the availability of all services at the time of making a reservation.
· Travel insurance coverage for injury, illness or loss of effects while on tour is NOT included, is highly recommended for travel and compulsory for many lodges and adventure safaris in Southern and Eastern Africa.
· Registration: A 25% deposit of the total land price, per person is required. The remainder of the cost is due 75 days prior to departure date.
Airline tickets must be purchased within two weeks of reservation confirmation.
· Payment is accepted by personal check, company check or credit card.
· Reservation Policy: All tariffs quoted include VAT and current grading levy. The price quoted is subject to
change in the event of any unforeseen increases in fuel costs including currency fluctuations and/or Government levies/taxes, including Park Fees and Entrance fees. Safariline reserves the right to amend the quoted tariffs accordingly should the Government change the percentage level of VAT or introduce any other tax or Levy. Safariline will not cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangement once the client has paid in full unless it becomes necessary to do so as a result of hostilities, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist unrest, active or threatened natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions or if a group tour does not have a minimum required participants, or for any other adverse event beyond the control of Safariline. In the event of cancellation Safariline will inform the client without delay and will make every effort to offer a suitable and comparable alternative
· Cancellations: Cancellations received more than 75 days prior to departure will be subject to the nonrefundable $500.00 per person fee plus any charge incurred by the hotels, ground handlers or operators up to the entire deposit of:
25% of the total trip costs
Between 75-30 days prior to the scheduled departure date ................. 50% of total trip costs
During the last 30 days including the scheduled departure date:.. 100% of the total trip costs

Travel Insurance
Safariline is pleased to offer a Travel Protection plan designed as an exclusive insurance plan to provide broad protection. The plan protects you and your travel investment if you need to cancel your trip for covered reasons prior to departure or if other covered unforeseen circumstances arise during your trip. This comprehensive insurance package provides pre-departure trip cancellation, Post departure Trip interruption, Trip delay (8 hours or more), Medical Expense/Emergency Assistance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, baggage and personal effects and baggage delay.

SAFARILINE Terms and Conditions

General:  Safariline, Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “Safariline’) acts solely as the agent for the client in all respects. Please read and understand all information contained in the Terms & Conditions and on the invoice.  A safari is a specific type of Tour, therefore, throughout this document the use of the term Tour also applies to a Safari. Deposits, Booking Procedures & Payment Terms

At time of confirmation 30% of the land tour cost is due with this completed signed tour registration form.  Upon receipt, pre-departure documents and itinerary will be sent. Seventy-Five days prior to departure, the final balance of your invoice is due payable by check, wire transfer or credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover).  In certain cases, an additional deposit or payment may be required, i.e. (Gorilla Permits, Airline tickets). Also required at this time is proof of Trip Insurance.

If reservation is affected within 75 days of commencement of travel, the entire amount is required at time of confirmation.  If payment installments are not paid when due, Safariline reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled.  A $50 reinstatement charge per person in addition to late charges calculated at 1.5% per month may be charged.  Safariline reserves the right to terminate or decline to retain any person as a participant at any time.

Cancellation, Change Fees & Refunds.

Safariline will not cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangement once the client has paid in full unless it becomes necessary to do so as a result of hostilities, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist unrest, active or threatened natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions or if a group tour does not have a minimum required participants, or for any other adverse event beyond the control of Safariline. In the event of cancellation Safariline will inform the client without delay and will make every effort to offer a suitable and comparable alternative.  

The following cancellation fees apply: 

 Written cancellations received more than 75 days prior to departure will be subject to the nonrefundable

 $500.00 per person fee, plus any fees or penalties accessed by the tour operator, hotels, lodge operators, airline, ground handlers and                                                             any supplier up to the deposit of ... 35% of the tour cost 

  Between 74 and 61 days prior to the scheduled departure date:  ………... 50% of total tour costs

  Between 60 and 46 days prior to the scheduled departure date:  …………75% of total tour costs

  Within 45 days of departure including the scheduled departure date: …...  100% of total tour costs

Airline tickets are not included in the tour price cancellation fees and are subject to the airline change/cancellation fees at time of booking. Travelers / trip insurance program is NOT included in the tour price.  It is understood that refunds cannot be made to passengers who do not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever, fail to join a safari or join after departure.

Insurance:

Travel insurance is mandatory, not included in the tour cost and should be taken out within 10 days of deposit. Safariline requires all clients to purchase minimum travel protection insurance coverage. The following coverage components are strongly recommended and required by the lodges and ground handlers on your itinerary:

Trip cancellation & interruption, emergency medical evacuation (minimum $500,000 – 1Million), major medical, trip delay and any loss of personal effects. Travel insurance can be purchased from Safariline for this full coverage.

Travelers residing outside the USA must purchase independent travel insurance and provide proof of coverage.

Passport, Visas, Health & Entry Requirements

Passports: A valid passport is required for travel with three blank visa pages, (at least two facing visa pages) and expiration at least six months after your return date. NB: Endorsement pages DO NOT count as Visa pages.

Visas:  A visa may be required for the countries traveling.  It is the traveler’s responsibility to secure a visa in ample time prior to departure. Without the valid documents, entry may be denied.

Health Requirements: If you are a contagious disease carrier, you must let us know when booking your safari. Malaria is endemic to most regions of Africa. Before traveling, check with your doctor for recommendations and requirements concerning vaccines and medications that are necessary or suggested between countries and the countries visited.  Certain countries may require specific inoculations for entry, even if it is due to a connection flight.  Specific information is available on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website: www.cdc.gov
