OUR STORY  Wishing for Africa was founded on the premise that every great adventure has to be part of a greater purpose, our wish is to give back via conservation and education, to generate harmony between wildlife and people. Wishing For Africa Terms and Conditions

  • Standard terms and conditions apply.
  • Included in the Deposits / Commitment Fee is a Foundation Contribution being 2.5% of the total itinerary value. This Foundation Contribution supports the ongoing success and development of critical conservation and community projects carried out by various partner foundations.
  • *All prices are subject to Rate of Exchange and when a deposit is paid the balance of the booking is subject to the rate of exchange on date of full payment.
  • Advance purchase, peak season & weekend surcharges, block out periods and minimum stay conditions may apply.
  • Book and pay in full to avoid disappointment.
  • Credit card required for car hire where applicable.
  • Prices and availability are correct and are subject to change without notice.
  • All packages are quoted per person sharing.

We provide pre-tour information relevant to all countries in which we operate, and this should answer most questions a guest might have regarding travelling on safari with us. We will send this to you on confirmation with a suggested packing list and request that you please provide your guests with a copy accordingly. These documents are updated as and when there are relevant changes – if you keep a copy on file (which we do not recommend), please ensure that you do have the most up-to-date version at all times. Please note that we do not take responsibility for any edits you might make to our original document.

WFA shall not be liable for any inadvertent delay in the issuing of an invoice or any supporting document related thereto (i.e. quotations, proposals, etc.) , or any omission or error contained in such invoice or supporting document provided that such delays, errors or omissions be rectified by WFA as soon as reasonably possible after the discovery of the same

 

Right to amend this agreement

 We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. . You may terminate this agreement by written notice to us if you do not wish to be bound by the current version.  Unless otherwise stated the current version shall supersede and replace all the previous versions of the terms and conditions. 

 FORCE MAJEURE
1. If either Party is prevented or restricted directly or indirectly from carrying out all or any of its obligations under the Trading Terms for any
cause beyond the reasonable control of that Party (including without limiting the generality of the a foregoing: war, civil commotion, riot,
insurrection, strikes, lock-outs, fire, explosion, floods and acts of God), the Party so affected shall be relieved of its obligations hereunder during the period of that event and shall not be liable for any delay or failure in the performance of any obligations hereunder or for any loss or damages which the other Party may suffer due to or resulting from such delay or failure, provided that written notice of the inability to perform shall be given by the Party so affected within 48 (forty eight) hours of the occurrence constituting force majeure.
2. The Party invoking force majeure shall use its best endeavours to terminate the circumstances giving rise to force majeure and upon termination of these circumstances giving rise thereto, shall forthwith give written notice thereof to the other Party.

EFFECT OF EXPIRATION/ EARLY TERMINATION
1. Upon the expiration or earlier termination of the Trading Terms for any reason whatsoever, the Client shall:
1. immediately cease to use any advertising or other material which indicates or suggests that the Client is the Client of Wishing for Africa; and
2. deliver to Wishing for Africa all documentation containing confidential information which is in the Client’s possession by virtue of its relationship
with Wishing for Africa created in the terms.
3. cease and not in future whether directly, indirectly, or howsoever use, copy, issue copies to the public or make an adaptation of any materials copied from or provided by Wishing for Africa;
4. cease and not in future whether directly, indirectly, or howsoever use any identical trademarks and/or any trademarks which nearly resembles the Wishing for Africa trademarks; and
5. cease to and not in the future, pass off or attempt to pass off its services as being in any way associated with the services or any other services offered by Wishing for Africa.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Please ensure that you are aware of our booking conditions. Taking this journey with us implies your acceptance of these conditions.
  • Prior to confirming the booking, each guest must take out comprehensive travel, medical, cancellation, curtailment and default insurance for the duration of their trip.
  • Due to the remote areas in which we operate, it is vital that all guests are covered for emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances. We will not be held responsible for any guest travelling without insurance.
  • The relevant cancellation policy applies should the guest fail to join or start their safari/journey for any reason, including airline delays or missed connections. Please ensure adequate travel insurance is in place for this eventuality. 
  • The above itinerary may include camps/lodges that are situated in Malaria and Yellow Fever areas. Please consult a medical practitioner, pharmacist or travel clinic to establish what precautions and/or vaccinations will be required.
  • Due to the logistics of travelling on a safari to remote areas, we strongly recommend that all guests read the literature provided. Should there be any further queries, please feel free to contact your Journey Specialist.

SCHEDULED FLIGHT TICKET QUOTES – STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  • All airlines require full first names and surnames as per the passengers’ passport to make a reservation.
  • All airlines DO NOT allow name changes – after the reservation has been made, nor after the ticket has been issued.
  • Fares and taxes on flights are quoted per person and at current rates. These are subject to airline increase or rate of exchange fluctuations at any time prior to date of issue.
  • Airfares are subject to seat availability and rules, including discounted fares (if applicable), and pertaining to advance purchases, cancellation and amendment penalties.
  • NOTE: In line with airline and government regulations around the world, we are required to supply the following information before air tickets may be issued for reservations made on scheduled flights (commercial air) – passport name, passport number, date of issue, date of expiry, country of issue, date of birth, gender and nationality.
  • Cancellation fees will be charged if applying for a refund on an issued ticket. 
  • Wishing for Africa and their partners cannot be held responsible for any re-routings, delays or cancellations imposed by the airlines. Guests should carry adequate travel insurance to cover such eventualities. 
  • GENERAL INCLUSIONS:

  • All accommodation on a shared basis;
  • Meals as specified;
  • Excursions and transfers as included in the quote;
  • Most safari camps/lodges include two game activities per day in their rate – one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Private activities and guide may be booked, at an additional cost, for sole use or special interest activities. Please advise if you would like additional information on this service;
  • Services of the camp/lodge guides and staff;
  • Relevant park fees and entrance fees as specified in the quote;
  • Drinks as specified – drink inclusions may differ between camps/lodges;
  • Laundry can be done at most camps/lodges and hotels. In some cases this is included in the rate as quoted;
  • Air transfers as specified, including Departure Taxes as relevant
  • Accommodation taxes, the applicable Tourism Levies and all relevant Value Added Tax (VAT) or Government Sales Tax (GST).
  • GENERAL EXCLUSIONS:

  • Meals not specified in the quote such as lunch and dinner in city hotels;
  • Any drinks, park fees, entrance fees, porterage, tours/excursions and transfers not specified in the quote;
  • Any scheduled commercial flights and related taxes;
  • Cancellation, baggage and medical insurance;
  • Staff gratuities;
  • Any new Government Taxes, levies, fuel or industry increases which are beyond our control;
  • Visa fees where relevant. Should a visa payment be required, this will need to be made in US Dollar cash. Change is often not provided and thus the exact amounts payable are essential (with small denominations encouraged for easier and quicker transactions). Travellers Cheques and credit cards are not usually accepted for this purpose;
  • Departure Taxes are excluded on all light aircraft transfers in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Applicable at manned airports only, these taxes are to be paid  direct in cash on departure, unless included in your air ticket cost;
  • All taxes are subject to change without prior notice;
  • Zambia Airport Departure Taxes: may be paid in US Dollars or Kwacha, the local currency. Kwacha amounts may vary depending on the rate of exchange on the day – the below are guidelines only. Note that credit cards and Travellers Cheques are not accepted forms of payment for this purpose.
  • On International flights: Departure tax, security tax and infrastructure & development tax - US$40.00 per person; Passenger Safety Charge - US$ 10.00 per person
  • On Domestic flights: Departure tax, security tax and infrastructure & development tax - US$16.00 per person; Passenger Safety Charge - US$ 5.00 per person
  • Zimbabwe Airport Departure Taxes: paid in US Dollars only and in cash. Currently, and subject to change, these taxes are as follows:
  • On International flights: Departure Tax plus Aviation Infrastructural Development Fund – US$ 50.00 per person.
  • On Domestic flights: Departure Tax plus Aviation Infrastructural Development Fund – US$ 15.00 per person.
  • Ex Kariba Airport specifically: Departure Tax – US$ 15.00 per person.
  • Any items of a personal nature.
