Please note WH/The Supplier reserves the right to cancel, at any time, a tour booked due to rain, closure by national parks or any other unforeseen event.
Terms and Conditions - General
» All prices are quoted and payable in United States Dollars (USD)
» Rates are net and non-commissionable.
» The agreement validity is as stated on the rate sheet and it supersedes any previous agreement.
» All tours are based on a minimum of two pax.
» All Botswana transfers are based on a minimum of two pax.
» Visa fees are not included in the prices on the rate sheet.
» This agreement is non-assignable and shall have effect according to the laws of Zimbabwe.
» WH reserves the right to terminate this agreement by giving the agent one months' notice.
Terms & Conditions - Zimbabwe Specific
» All tours include the collection of guests within the immediate vicinity of the various Victoria Falls Hotels. Please check with our reservations if you are unsure.
» Private services of vehicles and boats will be charged according to the vehicle or boat capacity.
» Park Fees are quoted separately and are required to be paid by the Agent.
» Prices subject to change without notice should operating costs rise beyond our control.
Terms & Conditions - Zambia Specific
» All tours include the collection of guests within the immediate vicinity of the various Livingstone Hotels. Please check with our reservations if you are unsure.
» The Victoria Falls Tour entrance fee for Sun Residents is included in the accommodation price.
» The Victoria Falls Tour entrance fee for Non Residents is included in the Wild Horizons price.
» Prices subject to change without notice should operating costs rise beyond our control.
FOR TRANSFERS, TOURING & ACTIVITIES
» Cancellation more than 30 days before date of travel – no charge
» Cancellation within 30 days before date of travel – 20% cancellation fees
» Cancellation within 7 days before date of travel – 50% cancellation fees
» Cancellation within 24 hours or No Show – 100% cancellation fees
» If a passenger falls ill and provides reasonable proof – 100% refund
Refunds are offset against future bookings. If The Agent prefers bank transfers, a bank fee of US$50 is to the cost of The Agent.
NB Please note that Non-Wild Horizons activities have different cancellation policies and will depend on the size of the group. Please ensure that you always check this, as they are too numerous to specify in this document.
FOR LODGE ACCOMMODATION
Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. All reservations made shall become subject to the cancellation policy once the Agent has confirmed a booking in writing:
» Should a cancellation be received once a confirmed status is held, 20% of the contracted rate will be charged.
» Should a cancellation be received between 60 and 31 days prior to due arrival date 50% of the contracted rate will be charged.
» Should a cancellation be received between 30 and 0 days prior to due arrival date 100% of the contracted rate will be charged.
» Cancellations and Confirmations must be in writing by all parties concerned.
» Please note: Should your clients fail to arrive on the due arrival date, start their trip after departure or leave before its completion, no refund will be made.
Wild Horizons Extraordinary Terms and Conditions (COVID 19 Pandemic)
These terms will remain in place until such time as the World Health Organisation declares the Coronavirus pandemic over, or restrictions impacting are lifted. Once these conditions are removed, any booking still to travel or made under the auspices of these terms and conditions would be replaced by standard terms and conditions (above).
Cancellations
Normal cancellation fees will be charged as per the below, unless “COVID cancellation rules” apply, whereby cancellation fees are waivered.
COVID cancellation rules are as below:
Deposit is fully refundable up to 90 days within date of travel.
Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. All reservations made shall become subject to the cancellation policy once the Agent has confirmed a booking.
Should a cancellation be received between 120 and 61 days prior to due arrival date 20% of the contracted rate will be charged.
Should a cancellation be received between 60 and 31 days prior to due arrival date 50% of the contracted rate will be charged.
Should a cancellation be received between 30 and 0 days prior to due arrival date 100% of the contracted rate will be charged.
COVID Cancellation Rules:
Should the Zimbabwe government suddenly prohibit guests from travelling into Zimbabwe by way of lock down or international border closure.
Should the government in the guest’s country of residence suddenly prohibit travel from the guest’s country of residence or prohibit travel to Zimbabwe or South Africa.
Should the government of the guest’s country of residence suddenly require mandatory hotel quarantine on return to that country.
Should the government of Zimbabwe or South Africa require mandatory hotel quarantine on arrival.
Should an airline cancel the guests’ flights to Zimbabwe or SA due to Covid.
The guest has contracted COV19 within 72 hours of estimated arrival and is in quarantine or undergoing treatment.
The guest has tested positive at the airport on said arrival and is not allowed to travel,
Deferrals
Guests may defer on payment of a 20% Admin and conservation fee, subject to availability.
Rates will be honoured for reservations up until 20th December 2022.
If a deferred reservation is later cancelled, these Payment Terms & Conditions will apply for the purpose of determining the cancellation fees payable.
Should the deferral be to a season of higher rates than the new rate will apply.
The 20% paid at the time of deferral will be deducted from the final invoice.
