Charles Williams was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He spent 13 years working as a Game Warden with National Parks in Zimbabwe. He was then appointed Managing Director of Ker & Downey, Botswana from 1974 to 1995 and Executive Vice President of Ker & Downey, Tanzania from 1986 to 2015. He was the key figure behind the development and expansion of all company programs and operations in Botswana and Tanzania from 1974 to 2015 to create one of the largest and most successful safari operations in Africa.
Sarah Fernandes was born and raised in Africa. She lived in Botswana from the age of three, where her family worked in the safari industry. She was educated in Scotland and returned to Botswana following her education to work in various luxury safari camps. In 1996 Sarah moved to London to work in the adventure travel industry with Cazenove and Loyd and the Ultimate Travel Company specializing in tailor-made trips to Africa. That experience was invaluable, but she missed Africa so in 2003 she moved back to Africa where she managed several prestigious safari camps.
Sarah and her father Charles formed Safari Adventures Worldwide in order to utilize their extensive knowledge of the safari industry. Sarah and Charles visit operators throughout East and Southern African on a continual basis to keep abreast of the best offerings in the industry. Our intimate connections with Africa’s top operators and guides enable us to create individualized, unique itineraries, going beyond the ordinary and delivering the full-undiluted African experience.
Safari Adventures Worldwide specializes in creating customized African safaris that are individualized, unique itineraries for the ideal safari or holiday – for families, a couple, or a group of friends. It could be an intrepid trip or a photographic safari into the African Wilderness.
Whether it is an adventure to the Indian Ocean, walking in the pristine wilderness of the Luangwa Valley, riding horseback amongst the wildlife in the Masai Mara, poling through the Okavango Delta, sleeping under the stars in the Kalahari Desert, exploring the Ngorongoro Crater or experiencing the Serengeti, our aim is to tailor-make your dream vacation to suit you.
