Inspired Journeys was founded by a group of people whom believed in the beauty of a place, deep in the heart of Africa, known today as Virunga National Park in the DRC. Our 'Journey' was 'Inspired' by this majestic & wonderful land, its' people & it's inhabitants - as seen in the Netflix movie 'VIRUNGA'.
Making it possible for travellers to discover places that were either forgotten after trouble times or previously inaccessible, is what our philosophy is built upon. We believe in Africa, especially what we like to call 'Unconventional Africa', which are the blurry spots on the tourism map. It is our mission to continue to offer our guests experiences that are authentic & exciting, & whenever possible in a way that contributes to the communities & conservation of the areas they visit.

Single supplements are based on availability of accommodation.
While the lodge can sleep 14 guests, currently the ideal load for the plane is 850 kgs. Thus, both from an activity and charter flight perspective 8 guests is optimal, though 10 guests is possible, with luggage restrictions. A larger plane carrying 14 can sometimes be arranged.
- A maximum of 3 persons are allowed for the gorilla tracking activity, and guests will be grouped accordingly.
- Should guests wish to alter their preferred activities, this can only be done once at the lodge, and would depend on availability. Altering or adding activities may result in additional costs, which the guests will be required to pay in cash at the lodge.
- Optional additional or alternate activities, specifically relevant to the 10 day packages, may include amongst others: additional gorilla permits or Dzanga Bai visits, additional forest or night walks, a palm wine tour, sunset cruise, etcetera.
- No credit card payment facilities are available at the lodge, we only accept Euros or Central African Franc.
