Mawamba Lodge
Mawamba Lodge has a unique and privileged location in the exquisitely evergreen Tortuguero Canals and National Park. Often referred to as "the little Amazon in Costa Rica", the area is a tropical haven for a great array of wildlife, and the lush forest boasts innumerable trees, plants and wild flowers.
The lodge features 46 rustic standard rooms and 8 superior rooms, ideal for couples. Each room is equipped with an in-room safe, ceiling fan, private bathroom and an outside porch with hammock and rocking chairs.
Lodge's facilities include swimming pool, restaurant, direct beach access, manicured tropical gardens, bar, lounge, outdoor sitting areas and hammock facilities and a unique tropical rainforest experience, plus featuring the only floating restaurant in the area.
Water activities like boat tours, kayaking and canoeing combine with nature walks, night hikes and visits to the Tortuguero Hill to create unique outing opportunities.
