- Fully inclusive of accommodation, scheduled activities (including horseback riding), meals, Big Life conservation fees, daily laundry, return Chyulu airstrip road transfers, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including premium brand spirits and champagne.
- The return scheduled seat in plane air transfers from Nairobi Wilson, or properties in the greater Chyulu Hills/ Amboseli region, to this camp are now automatically included in the nightly rate. Where air transfers are from properties located outside of these regions, supplementary charges will be applicable.
EXCLUDED
- Exclusive of in camp spa treatments and additional activities such as: Maasai cultural visits ($20 paid directly to Maasai), day trips to Amboseli National Park and scenic air flights.
- Sambu Suite Rate is calculated on a per Suite basis sleeping maximum 4 adults sharing or a family with children, regardless of age.
- Pilot/Guide, late check out and private vehicle rates are nett and non-commissionable.
- The Great Plains Foundation Conservation & Community levy is applicable to all private pilot / guide stays.
- Each guest tent includes one pair of high quality binoculars and a professional camera set, including Canon camera body and 100-400mm and 24-70mm lenses for guest’s complimentary use. Photos will be downloaded to a memory stick on guest’s departure.
- Late check outs are subject to availability and additional cost. Check out time remains 8:30am and guests may use public areas until departure.
- Safarilink offer daily scheduled flights between Nairobi’s Wilson airport and ol Donyo Lodge. Schedules and rates available on request. Minimum 2 guests required per flight.
- Safarilink mainly use a Cessna Caravan (12 seats) but other smaller aircraft could be used.
- Scheduled air transfer service could land at additional airstrips en route to ol Donyo or Nairobi, depending on passenger demand.
Conditions
CHANGING A BOOKING
After the booking has been confirmed, should the guest wish to change to an alternative departure date for any non Covid-19 reason, we may at our discretion, charge a change fee of US$25 per person.
Should guests need to postpone their travel or are unable to travel prior to 61 days of original travel dates, purely due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no charge to postpone the confirmed Great Plains Conservation specific arrangements held.
Third party reservations may be governed by separate terms and these will be communicated at the time of postponement.
CANCELLATION SCHEDULE
1. More than 61 days prior to arrival, your refundable deposit will be returned less a 25% handling fee;
2. Between 60 to 46 days prior to arrival - 50% of the full value of the reservation value will be forfeited;
3. Less than 45 days prior to arrival and No Shows - 100% of the full value of the reservation is forfeited.
Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification and applicable to the scale of cancellations above. The above cancellation schedule is specific to those Great Plains Conservation arrangements held.
In the event that the destination country’s borders remain closed 30 days prior to the guest’s international arrival, we will endeavour to rebook their travels at a suitable later date, or failing that release the services held at our camps with no cancellation fees applicable other than the handling fee of 25% of the paid deposit being applicable.
Should a guest fall ill during their travels, fail to arrive at a property, join a safari, join after a set departure or leave it prior to its completion, no refund can be made, and full cancellation fees apply. For any change in itinerary by guests whilst on safari, there will be no refund for any services not utilised, and all new arrangements will be for the guest’s account.
All third party reservations may be governed by separate terms and regardless of the reason of cancellation, their refund and/or cancellation policy will be communicated accordingly at the time of cancellation.
CHILD POLICY
- Minimum age is 5 years.
- Should the Sambu suite be unavailable, child rates are applicable for up to one child 15 and
younger sharing with two adults in a deluxe pool suite.
- Children 16 and older pay the applicable adult rates and will be accommodated in a separate suite.
