Zimbabwe Green Season Special 2017

Hello Safari Talker! This itinerary has details on accommodation and logistics as well and information on each of these wonderful areas. As an added bonus, there is no single supplement on this combination of camps and lodges.

We have selected 3 different locations to provide you with a well rounded and different experience. Beginning with the incredible falls themselves, from there the next step is Hwange National Park and finally Amalinda in Matopos.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is located a 10 minute drive out of Victoria Falls town on a private concession. The Club Rooms are located just next to the main lodge they are larger than the Standard Lodge rooms and also come with a complimentary mini bar and butler service. They have their own separate Club Lounge and Deck, overlooking a waterhole, where you have a private check in and your breakfast is served. This is also where you will have the following complimentary services - Afternoon tea and pastries (15:30 - 16:30) Sundowner cocktails and canapes (17:30 - 18:30) as well as daily head and shoulder or foot massage (15:30 - 16:30). There is a no child policy in the club rooms(*if you are traveling with children we have a lovely alternative on the same property) and whilst you have access to the main lodge swimming pool, restaurant, bar and deck the other guests do not have access to the Club Lounge and Deck.

They offer free regular shuttles into town and have a vulture feeding everyday at 13:00 which you can observe from the deck or a hide closer to the action. This is free and truly a sight to behold.

Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest National park and has an amazing variety of wildlife - one of the largest diversities of any park in Africa. Large herds of elephant and buffalo are well known, you shall explore and game view through this area in our open safari vehicles.

Khulu Lodge

A favorite of ours as it is a small exclusive lodge catering to no more than 12 guests at a time and does not allow children. Their standard of guiding is excellent. The rooms are luxurious tents sent on raised platforms to make the most of the view onto the waterhole which is known to attract a variety of wildlife and bird life. Each suite has an indoor and outdoor shower and a balcony for game viewing. Khulu offers guests guided game viewing on their private concession which has no fences and borders Hwange National Park so the animals are free to move between them, or you can have game drives into the park itself.

Matopos National Park & World Heritage Site

Camp Amalinda

This is an upscale lodge with a unique design to their rooms, which are meant to look like you are in a cave and incorporates the rock formations into your room. The rooms are all luxurious, the views from the lodge fantastic. Here you can explore ancient cave paintings, see white rhino's up close and personal and enjoy the amazing red rock scenery from the pool or on a hike.
