The Safari Briefing
This itinerary was designed for two couples (friends), Laurie, Fiona, Jock and Jill who were very specific on what they wanted to experience in Africa. Their hit list included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with as much comfort as possible, seeing the Ngorongoro Crater and witnessing the great migration in swing. Plus they wanted time out to relax and unwind, take in some history and culture and certainly have the opportunity to dive.
To combine each component into one itinerary takes very careful consideration and planning! We personally chose the climbing team to ensure the ultimate experience and best chance at summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. We called our favourite camps in Tanzania to find out about current weather conditions and wildlife patterns so we were sure to place guests in the best locations to see the migration. Then it was a tree house style finale on Zanzibar, staying at barefoot rustic Chole Mjini which was the preference of Laurie!
Guests returned and said it was an awesome trip and expectations were exceeded, mountain successfully climbed and oceans dived. We hope to see them all in Africa again soon!

Thank you for looking after us so well during our trip to Tanzania. Everything ran smoothly and our accommodation was great …in line with our brief. You were right, the beach finale accommodation on Mafia Island was rustic …… however we got on very well with the hosts who were feeling their way a bit as well (looking after the resort whilst the owners - their friends took a break). The crew on the ground right throughout Tanzania looked after us so well and all of the accommodation, especially in the Serengeti was perfect for us. We all had a great time and experience and the team at Encompass Africa are a pleasure to work with - very obliging to our needs. We will recommend Encompass Africa to friends!
