Days 1 - 4

Situated in the beautiful northern part of Botswana between the famous destinations of the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park, the Kwedi Concession (NG 22) is an impressive reserve known for its excellent wildlife spotting opportunities and water activities. The enthralling mopane bushveld and vast floodplains are home to a huge number of animal species, including wild dog, lion, hyena, and leopard (these species are the most commonly spotted) as well as giraffes, elephants, Burchell’s zebra, and numerous antelope species. The reserve offers day and night game drives, as well as guided walks and photography tours. Fringing the abundant Okavango Delta, the reserve is decorated with permanent waterways, tree islands, and swamps - providing the chance for kayaking, boat tours, and bird spotting.

Days 4 - 6

Lying in the middle of the largest expanse of sand on earth the Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s most amazing, sensitive and complex environments supporting a spectacle of wilderness and wildlife. Unique as one of the world’s few inland deltas, the placid waters and lush indigenous forests offer a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species. The Okavango Delta offers a number of activities for the visitor; game viewing, birding and fishing are all on offer. One can experience this magical world of islands and waterways from land, air and water - game viewing by canoe, traditional mokoro or powerboat.

Highlights include the elusive Sitatunga antelope which has found refuge in this pristine wetland ecosystem, while birds such as the African fish eagle, Pel's fishing owl and many others provide a spectacular display.

Okavango Delta

Mombo Concession

Days 6 - 9

Ancient floodplains intermingle with open grasslands and tree-covered islands at the Mombo Concession, aptly dubbed "the Place of Plenty", situated within the central Okavango Delta. The remarkable terrain encompasses a rich tapestry of landscapes, including mopane woodlands, Kalahari sand belts, acacia thickets, and seasonal floodplains adorned with wild date palm islands and riverine forests. The region is teeming with game, from giraffes, zebras, and red lechwes to elephants and buffalo. Predators like lions, spotted hyenas, and leopards thrive here, and it's the exclusive home of the Okavango Delta's sole population of white and black rhinos. Across the year, diverse wildlife is on full display, and the annual flooding cycle enables nature to fully utilize the diverse landscape, alluring numerous bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.

Mombo Concession

Linyanti Concession

Days 9 - 11

The Linyanti area is a hidden gem, tucked away in the northeastern corner of Chobe National Park. The Selinda Spillway links Linyanti to the Okavango Delta and it is renowned as one of the best game viewing areas in the region, supporting a great diversity of wildlife, with large herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra.

Due to its remoteness, the Linyanti is a gorgeous, unspoiled region of waterways and lagoons, riverine forests, huge trees and palm tree islands. Game viewing is superlative in both the wet and dry season, and the birding is exceptional.
