Days 1 - 2: South Luangwa National Park

You fly from Johannesburg, South Africa to Lusaka, Zambia - a two hour flight. On arrival you check-in for your onward light air transfer to the South Luangwa National Park.

On landing at Mfuwe Airport you are met and transferred to Mfuwe Lodge for a 2 night stay. The drive is about 45 minutes.

Set inside the park beneath a stand of ebony and mahogany trees, the lodge is set on the banks of a lagoon. Activities here include game drives both night and day, guided walks as well as local village, school and textile company visits.

Days 3 - 4: South Luangwa National Park

You transfer by vehicle to Chamilandu Camp, a combined game drive/transfer of around 2.5 hours.

Chamilandu is a breathtaking camp on one of the South Luangwa's prime river locations. The 3 chalets are set on the riverbank under a soaring ebony grove.

Activities here include guided walks and night and day game drives.

Days 5 - 6: South Luangwa National Park

After a morning game activity and brunch you set off on the transfer to Bilimungwe Camp. This is a game drive and you should arrive at Bilimungwe in time for lunch, depending on the game viewing en-route.

Bilimungwe is a stunning camp which blends seamlessly with its surroundings and offers unrivalled wildlife viewings.

Activities include guided walks and night and day game drives.

Days 7 - 10: Lower Zambezi

Today you depart the South Luangwa and transfer to Mfuwe Airport which is around a 3 hour game drive. You then fly by scheduled flight the one hour to Lusaka. On landing in Lusaka you connect with the flight to the Lower Zambezi, a one hour flight.

On arrival at Royal Airstrip you will be met and transferred by a combination of 4WD and boat to Chiawa Camp – a journey of approximately 1 hour, depending on the game viewing en-route.

Owned and operated by the Cumings family since it opened in 1989, Chiawa Camp was the first safari camp to be established in the Lower Zambezi National Park. It offers exceptional game-viewing with good elephant, lion, leopard, and wild dog sightings on a regular basis.

This area offers a diversity of activities like few others in Africa, including morning and evening game drives, guided bush walks, canoeing and relaxing pontoon boat safaris.

In addition, expert guides cater for all levels of anglers and you will have an opportunity to catch the world’s toughest fresh water fish - the Tigerfish.

Days 11 - 12: Victoria Falls (Zambia)

Today you bid farewell to safari life.

After breakfast you are transferred to Royal Airstrip in time for the light air transfer to Lusaka, a 30 minute flight. On landing you make your way to the International Departures Terminal and check in for your flight to Johannesburg and depart Africa.

Alternatively you may wish to fly on by light air transfer from Lusaka to Livingstone Airport and spend a further 2 nights exploring the Victoria Falls.

Today you are transferred to Livingstone Airport and connect with your flight to Johannesburg.
