Day 1: Overnight Travel

Depart from your respective capital cities with Singapore Airlines to Singapore.

Day 2: Mumbai

Day 2 Mumbai

Arrive Mumbai at 10:35am. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Balance of day free to relax. (Breakfast)

Days 3 - 4: Udaipur

Day 3 Udaipur

Morning sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Formerly known as Bombay, the city is the commercial capital of India, and your tour includes the Prince of Wales Museum, Ghandi's former residence, the Tower of Silence and Dhobi Ghats. After sightseeing you will be transferred to the airport for your afternoon flight to Udaipur. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for a 2- night stay. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 4 Udaipur

After breakfast you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of the city, including the Gardens, Puppet Museum and city Palace. Late afternoon you will be taken to the jetty at Lake Pichola for a boat ride. Return to your hotel for dinner. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Days 5 - 6: Jodhpur

Day 5 Udaipur/Jodhpur

This morning depart by road for the well-known city of Jodhpur, travelling through the fascinating traditional Rajasthan countryside and stopping at Ranakpur to visit the famous Temple. You will see many traditional agricultural activites en route which afford interesting photo opportunities. Arrive at your hotel late afternoon for a 2-night stay. (Breakfast and Dinner)

 

Day 6 Jodhpur

After breakfast you will be taken on a sightseeing tour, which includes the Meherangarh Fort, a walk through the local Bazaar and a visit to the Maharajahs Tomb located a short distance from the city. In the afternoon you will be taken by jeep on a village and wildlife excursion. This will give you an opportunity to see village life in rural India. Return to your hotel late afternoon. (Breakfast and Dinner).

Days 7 - 8: Jaipur

Day 7 Jodhpur/Jaipur

After breakfast we continue by road through the Rajasthan countryside via Ajmer. Lunch is at Khempur, the setting for the Marigold Hotel movies. After lunch we continue to Jaipur where we arrive late afternoon. (Breakfast and Dinner)

 

Day 8 Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber where there may be an opportunity to take an elephant ride up to the palace. We return to Jaipur and visit the Observatory and the famous Palace of Winds. In the afternoon there will be opportunities to visit Jaipur's many handicraft emporiums. The city is famous for its jewellery manufacturing, where more than 20,000 craftsmen are engaged in this industry. Late afternoon you will return to your hotel on local tut-tuks. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 9: North Holland

Day 9 Jaipur/Ranthambhore

After breakfast a 4 hour drive will take us to the Ranthambhore Tiger Sanctuary. Late afternoon game drive in jeeps to look for the elusive Bengal Tiger and view other interesting wildlife. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Days 10 - 11: Agra

Day 10 Ranthambhore/Agra

Early morning game drive and after breakfast we travel by road to Bharatpur and the bird sanctuary. There you will be taken on a rickshaw ride accompanied by a guide who specialises in bird life. After lunch we continue to Agra where we arrive for a 2-night stay. (Breakfast and Dinner)

 

Day 11 Agra

Early morning visit to the famous Taj Mahal for sunrise. We return to our hotel for breakfast and later visit the Agra Fort where the emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned after completing the Taj Mahal. This afternoon you will be taken on a tour of Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned capital built by Akbar the Great.

Day 12: Orchha

Day 12 Agra/Orchha

After an early breakfast you will be taken to the railway station to join India's Premier train to Jhansi 0802/1043. Upon arrival you will be transferred to our hotel. Your accommodation is in a rural setting and you will have an opportunity to wander around. In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour of the ruins and late afternoon witness a Puja ceremony at the Ram Raja Temple. (Breakfast and Dinner)

 

Day 13: Khajuraho

Day 13 Orchha/Khajuraho

After a leisurely breakfast we depart by road arriving at your destination for lunch. In the afternoon we visit the Eastern group of temples. These famous erotic temples were built during the 13th and 14th century by the Chandella dynasty and are amongst the best in India. (Breakfast and dinner)

Day 14: Varanasi

Day 14 Khajuraho/Varanasi

Khajuraho is a small town and after breakfast you will have an opportunity to explore the area. After an early lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Your hotel is located on the banks of the Ganges in the middle of this bustling pilgrim city. In the late afternoon we will witness a Hindu prayer ceremony. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 15: New Delhi

Day 15 Varanasi/Delhi

Early morning boat ride on the holy Ganges river to view Varanasi and witness the cremation ceremonies on the riverbank. Retun to your hotel for breakfast and after breakfast you will be taken on a tricycle ride throgh the narrow streets of the old city stopping at various places of interest. After an early lunch you will be transferred to the airport visiting the Buddhist centre of Sarnath on route to join your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for a 2-night stay. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 16: New Delhi

Day 16 Delhi

This morning you will be taken on a half-day city tour of Old Delhi including a rickshaw ride in the Chandni Chouwk (the Silver Bazaar). we return to our hotel which is centrally located for lunch. Afternoon free. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 17: Overnight Travel

Day 17 Delhi/Singapore

Morning tour of New Delhi including the parlimentary complex and the Qutab Minar (Victory Tower). Return to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon free and there will be two courtesy rooms available and a farewell dinner.
Transfer to the airport to join your flight to Singapore departing at 2210.

Day 18: End of Itinerary

Day 18 Singapore/Australia

Arrive Singapore at 0615 where you will connect to flights to your respective home cities.
