Rather than end your honeymoon with the safari, why not take an indulgent five day extension on one of Tanzania's most glorious beaches and, in our opinion, romantic hide-aways. After breakfast at Klein's Camp you will be transferred to Lobo airstrip for your scheduled flight to Pemba Island. On arrival a representative from Fundu Lagoon will pick you and transfer you by road and waves back to the hotel.
You will spend five nights at the Fundu Lagoon on fully inclusive basis.
Fundu Lagoon has everything you need to enjoy the Indian Ocean, from wake-boarding to windsurfing, kayaking or simply strolling along the peaceful shoreline where it is lovely to watch the Mamas and totos collecting clams or just passing by...if you are lucky, you might see the local fishermen bringing in their daily catch. A short boat trip away and inside the protected marine conservation area are the breathtaking beaches of Misali Island. The only disturbance to these white sand beaches is by green and hawksbill turtles. It is an idyllic and relaxing day out with palm trees fringing the white sands and offering shady picnic spots. The warm turquoise shallows are ideal for snorkelling amongst the brightly coloured reef fish.
Scheduled flight from Lobo airstrip to Pemba airport on Coastal Aviation;
Return airport transfers (Pemba Airport- Fundu Lagoon) using the hotel's vehicles;
Five nights' accommodation at Fundu Lagoon on fully inclusive basis (lunch,dinner and breakfast) soft drinks, beers and house wine;
Swahili night and beach barbeque night on set evenings;
Unguided mangrove canoe safaris, shore based snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, traditional hair and henna on Swahili night as well as village treks (subject to availability).
