BIRDING: HARARE, UMFURUDZI HIPPO POOLS

On arrival at the Harare International airport you will be met and greeted by representatives of Birdlife Zimbabwe, Travel Portfolio and your birding guide.

Assistance will be given with luggage to the transfer Quantum minibus or similar.

A transfer will follow from Harare International airport to Hippo Pools +/- 2 hours

At Hippo Pools on arrival you will be welcomed and porters at the lodge will assist with luggage to the rooms.

Dinner will be at the lodge

Typical day itinerary whilst at Hippo Pools will be as follows:

Early breakfast

Birding Trail

Packed lunch

Dinner at lodge

Afternoon Bird tracking trails

Breakfast will be at the lodge

You will be transferred from Hippo Pools, back to Harare +/- 2 hours

On arrival at the The Lodge, a welcome drink will be served and porters will assist with luggage to the designated rooms.

The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure

Dinner tonight will be on your own arrangements, we recommend Emmanuel's Restaurant

Overnight at The Lodge 

Breakfast will be at the Lodge

Thereafter you will be transferred to Christon Bank and Komani for birding tour

Lunch will be a packed one

The afternoon will continue with the birding trails in these areas well know for good bird sitings

Dinner tonight will be at the Portuguese style chicken restaurant Coimbra, return transportation is included to this venue

Overnight The Lodge

Breakfast will be at The Lodge

Thereafter you will be transferred to Ewanrigg Botanical Gardens & Ngomakurira, Domboshawa areas for birding tour

Lunch will be a packed one

The afternoon will continue with the birding trails in these areas well know for good bird sitings

In the late afternoon you will be transferred back to the hotel

Dinner will be at leisure on your own arrangements

Overnight The Lodge

Breakfast will be at the Lodge

Thereafter you will be transferred to Haka Park and Mukuvisi Woodlands for birding tour

Lunch will be a packed one

The afternoon will continue with the birding trails in these areas well know for good bird sitings

In the late afternoon you will be transferred back to the  lodge

Dinner will be at a Chinese Restaurant, The GREAT WALL, return transfers are included

Overnight at The Lodge

Breakfast will be at the lodge

Thereafter you will be transferred to Lake Chivero area for birding tour

Lunch will be a packed one

The afternoon will continue with the birding trails in these areas well know for good bird sitings

In the late afternoon you will be transferred back to the lodge

Dinner will be on your own arrangements

Overnight at The Lodge

Breakfast will be at the lodge

You will then be transferred from The Lodge to the Harare International airport for the departure flight
