You will be met at the airport and then onto your charter flight that will take you over the famous Okavango Delta and onto Xigera Island in the heart of the delta. You will have a short transfer to camp where we will then work out the afternoon plans depending on what time we arrive.
We will be able to do a combination of game drives and boat activities while here in the Delta, the focus will be mostly to take advantage of being on the water and look for the animals that make this their home like Hippos, Sitatunga, Lechwe and Elephants.
We also have an option of going on a short mekoro ride so you can see the delta while drifting on a low canoe silently and you see some of the smaller plants and creatures that are resident and important to the Delta environment.
We will have a charter flight that will take us to the fringes of the Delta and Chitabe Camp. We will have a game drive to the camp about 45 mins from the airstrip.
While we are here our focus will be more land based activities like game drives, night drives and bush walks so we shall be able to have much flexibility to get the best from the area.
This area is well known for its good predator population and sightings that include lions, leopards, hyenas, and Wild Dogs. You are also able to drive off road so we should get some really top sightings.
Another full day of game viewing today - and maybe spending the full day out to enjoy the varied environment or a good sighting to the maximum will be possible.
Our flight today back to Maun will be timed to suit your onward flight connections.
