Arriving in Windhoek, you will need to collect your bags and clear customs before making your way to the Wilderness Lounge, on the right and side as you come into the arrivals hall. Here you can relax before being assisted to your light aircraft flight to Kulalas Private Airstrip
You will arrive with some time to freshen up before heading out on an evening game drive to explore Kulala's private reserve.

An early breakfast before you head for Kulala's private gate to make your way into the Sousousvlei National park - getting to Deadvlei before all the crowds and the heat is a must, the 1km walk over the small rolling dunes is well worth the reward of this out of this world landscape.

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Kulala airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to Swakopmund.
Arriving in Swakopmund, you will make your way to the car hire counter to collect your rental car for the next couple of days.
From the airport you will need to make your way down the coast 35km to the town of Walvisbaai where you can find a place fro lunch before meeting your guide for the afternoon excursion into the dunes that surround Sandwich Harbour.
Following the tour, you will drive back to Swakopmund for check in to the Hansa Hotel.

We recommend taking the C34 to Hentiesbaai, the last bit of civilisation before you cut inland on the C35 and make your way into Demaraland - if you are early enough, you may want to make a stop at Twyfelfontein, the World Heritage site of ancient rock engravings. You can pay a local guide to show you around, no prior booking is required.

This morning, after breakfast, you will head out with one of the guides and go in search of the elusive desert adapted elephants that roam free in the region. With the help of the local rural villagers the safari is generally quite successful.
