Camp Chitake | Mana Pools National Park

11 Nov 2018 - 13 Nov 2018

Natureways Safaris Camp Chitake is situated near the hidden gem of Chitake Spring in the Zambezi Valley.

The Spring is an essential water source for wildlife during the dry season leading to a high concentration of game in the area, with fantastic sightings of predators (lions, leopard, hyena and painted dogs).

Experience the excitement of Chitake by camping right on the river's edge, exploring its mini sandstone gorge and its wild woodlands. The area is also brilliant for bird watchers with a combination of dry and wet, woodland and open scrub, there are well over 300 possible bird species to be seen.

A mobile tented camp will have been set up by the camp staff - walk-in mosquito-proofed tents with en-suite chemical toilet, external long-drop toilets, hot showers and a dining area next to the fire where iced drinks and sumptuous bush-prepared meals will be served.

This is not a “lodge”. This is not a game drive. Chitake is for people who understand the Africa apart from the one found in a standard travel brochure. It is for the “Africaphile” who likes their wildlife wild!

Camp Zambezi | Mana Pools National Park

13 Nov 2018 - 17 Nov 2018

Camp Zambezi is a static mobile camp set up on the bank of the mighty Zambezi River. Guests can experience the full range of safari activities including game drives, canoeing and walking. With no set itinerary each trip can be customised to the expectations of each individual group. The camp is perfect for those wishing to relax before starting of finishing another Natureways Safari.

Games drives are in open 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers. These drives may take you away from the river, to investigate the different inland habitats and the diverse occupants that make up the ecology of the area. Walking to explore and learn about the area, with your Professional Guide it is the best way to experience the incredible diversity of animals, insects and flora at Mana Pools. The guide carries a weapon at all times. Mana Pools can provide some amazing experiences, if guests are looking for close encounters with game. Mana is famous for its bull elephants, and if you are lucky enough to encounter one of these gentle giants on foot, it is an experience never to forget!

Canoeing is a wonderful way to take in the tranquillity of the bush, gliding past herds of animals often unaware or uncaring of your presence.

African Bush Camps Kanga Camp | Mana Pools National Park

17 Nov 2018 - 18 Nov 2018

Kanga Camp is situated in a private concession within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mana Pools National Park. Infamous for their walking safaris, guests can experience Mana Pools rich vegetation and predator sightings which includes lion and the rare and endangered wild dog. The camp itself overlooks Kanga Pan which is an essential water supply for a multitude of different wildlife and bird species during the dry season. This means that the surrounding wildlife frequently visits the pans for a leisurely drink.

Six traditional luxury canvas tents are placed on a raised wooden deck each with their own exclusive views overlooking the pan. The luxury tents are elegantly designed with subtle wooden furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling mesh netting and come with all the essential amenities.

During the rainy season, the pan overflows with water and for this reason, Kanga Camp is only open from April to December. This time period offers an ultimate safari experience. And, because the camp is situated in a private concession there are no other safari vehicles. Activities and experiences include walking safaris, morning and afternoon game drives, the famous armchair safaris in the dry season, and a photographic hide for both amateur and professional photographers to enjoy
