Since we’re based in South Africa, we are able to use the small places, which would be difficult if we were based elsewhere. East Cape Tours has been a member of SATSA since 1998 and our membership number is 927 Please feel free to verify our standing with SATSA by contacting them directly.

General Terms of Use
Please read the following booking terms and conditions as set out by “the Tour Operator”: Fifth Avenue Adventure Tours t/a East Cape Tours.

Bookings

Bookings are confirmed on the condition of a deposit, which is normally 35% of the total package price. You will be advised at the time of booking what payment is required for your particular chosen travel arrangements. Please note that a number of service providers, specifically air fares require a 100% pre-payment. The balance of the cost of your travel arrangements must be paid no less than nine weeks prior to departure. If your booking is made within nine weeks of departure, the total cost of your travel arrangements must be paid at the time of booking.
Failure to pay on time may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Air and Train Tickets

The air and train fares and taxes quoted are current and are subject to change without prior warning should the airline or train travel provider impose an increase in rates for any reason. Should the fare quoted not be available at the time of booking, the next applicable fare will be booked and amended costs advised accordingly. East Cape Tours cannot be held responsible should airlines or railway operators discontinue flights or train journeys on certain routings or change scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections. Should an amendment in routing or itinerary be necessary, any additional costs incurred will not be borne by East Cape Tours.
Methods of Payment

East Cape Tours banks with First National Bank and Nedbank South Africa and make use of Nedbank 3D secure credit card payment system as well as DPO Paygate for payment processing.  A payment link will be sent to your email address via Nedbank Iveri Divert or DPO Paygate portals, which means East Cape Tours and their staff do not have access to your credit card details. 
Cash or EFT Transfers: We accept cash and EFT transfers. 
All payments need to be made in full and all bank charges are to be for your own account. 

Insurance

We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. East Cape Tours will not be liable if anyone should fail to take adequate cover.


Documents

All vouchers are only prepared on receipt of full payment of the package price and will be ready 72 working hours after payment has been received. Should you require hard copies of your documents and air tickets to be forwarded to either yourself or the departure airport and or train station, this may be arranged. These will be sent by e-mail. However, the courier costs in respect thereof will be for your own account.
It is important that you check all details of your travel documents before travelling. If there are any inaccuracies on any of your travel documents, or should you have any further queries, you should contact your agent immediately. Fifth Avenue 4x4 Adventure Tours will not be liable for any delay and/or loss occasioned as a result of any inaccuracies on any travel documents once you are in receipt thereof.

Passports, Visas and Health

It is entirely the client’s duty to ensure that all passports and visas are current, valid, obtained on time and will be valid for 6 months after return to home country; and that any vaccinations, inoculations, prophylactic (e.g. for malaria) and the like have been obtained where required. This also includes all necessary documentation required for travelling with minors.  
 

Forced Changes to Your Itinerary
We hope and expect to be able to provide you with all of the services we have confirmed to you at the time of booking. We plan arrangements as long in advance of your holiday as you allow, using independent suppliers such as hotels etc. over whom we have no control. On rare occasions, changes do have to be made, and we reserve the right to make these. 

Our Cancellation Terms

Cancellation prior to 9 weeks of travel – 25% of the total booking plus any non-refundable flights;
Cancellation 9 – 6 weeks prior to travel – 50% of total cost is forfeited*;
Cancellation less than 6 weeks prior to travel – 100% of total cost is forfeited.
*Should cancellation occur – the policies upheld with the lodge booked with will take effect – enquire within.
