Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness

In keeping with the Tintswalo tradition of naming and decorating accommodation after a theme, the seven Tintswalo at Lapalala tented suites have been appointed after Africa’s iconic tribes, paying tribute to the early inhabitants of the continent and those that roamed these plains long ago.

The reserve is known for its research and breeding programs of rare and endangered species as well as the environmental education program it delivers to school communities from around South Africa. Accommodating up to 14 adults and 4 children in the heart of a raw African bushveld, Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness continues this legacy of nature preservation by remaining environmentally conscious and completely off the grid. Sharing the reserve with only one other commercial lodge, guests of Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness are welcomed to engage with the environmental activities of the Lapalala Wilderness Reserve by visiting the breeding projects, participating in the school program, visiting the nearby Rhino Museum, or by enjoying peaceful hours of fishing on one of the reserve's many rivulets and deep, still pools.
