Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Mokoro Magic

Welcome to the heart of the delta! Arrive at camp around noon and indulge in a freshly prepared lunch surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. After a relaxing afternoon, set off around 16h00 for an enchanting mokoro excursion. Glide silently through the crystal-clear channels of the delta watching wildlife and enjoying a sundowner on the floodplains as the sky transforms into a palette of orange and pink. Return to camp for a delightful dinner around 19h00, sharing stories under the stars.

Day 2: Morning Safari and Bush Camp Bliss

Rise early around 05h30 for coffee and home-made rusks before heading out on an exhilarating morning game drive. Discover the delta’s abundant wildlife as the morning light paints the landscape, and savor a packed breakfast in the bush. By noon, arrive at the Island Bush Camp, where a delicious lunch awaits at approximately 13h00.

After a well-deserved rest, embark on an intimate bush walk from about 16h00 to 18h00. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the wild as you explore on foot, end-ing with a sundowner in the golden glow of sun- set. Return to camp for a mouthwatering dinner and enjoy the peace of a night surrounded by the wilderness.

Day 3: Lion Tracking & Scenic Adventures Begin

Begin your day with an early morning game drive focused on tracking the king of the savanna: Lions! While being educated around the conservation and conflicts around these majestic animals. Enjoy a packed breakfast in the field as you uncover the secrets of these predators.

Return to the Island Bush Camp around 12h30 for lunch and a restful afternoon. Around 16h00, add a touch of adrenaline to your adventure with an optional doors-off scenic helicopter flight (optional extra), offering unparalleled views of the delta. For those staying on the ground, relax before a sundowner dinner around 17h00. As night falls, head out on an exhilarating night game drive from about 18h00 to 22h00, uncovering the hidden world of nocturnal creatures.

Day 4: River Cruise and Village Life

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at 08h00am before a picturesque 09h30 boat cruise along the Selinda River and its intricate channels. Marvel at the serene beauty of the waterways as you journey back to Jumbo Junction. (In the vent of low water levels, this adventure will switch to a scenic game drive.) Return to camp for lunch around 12h30.

In the afternoon, take a unique cultural journey with a donkey cart tour to our local village, Gunotsoga. Learn about traditional life in the delta, meet friendly locals, and end the day with a special traditional dinner.

Day 5: Final Adventures & Farewell

Make the most of your last morning with an optional activity, such as an unforgettable horseback ride through the floodplains (timed to your departure schedule). Afterward, bid farewell to the delta, carrying memories of an extraordinary safari adventure.

Depart Jumbo Junction  as per departing arrangements.
