Le Quartier Français is a family owned and run boutique hotel in the heart of the Franschhoek Wine Valley. Situated in this quaint Winelands town, guests can relax around the central pool in the secluded, tranquil gardens, enjoy a treatment in b.gorgeous our hair & beauty salon, or watch a movie in our 30 seater screening room. We are situated right on the main road, allowing guests to step out of the hotel and explore the array of delightful shops and galleries. The newly refurbished reception area offers a comfortable lounge area for guests to meet; pick up a book to read or borrow a DVD from a selection of over 200 DVD’s to watch in their rooms. The essence of Le Quartier is its vibrant decor - fun and locally sourced. With 5 room types it offers spacious comfortable Auberge rooms to Grande Rooms with high ceilings and over sized chairs. Then there are the Petite Garden Suites with their private courtyards leading up to the Auberge Suites that feature their own gardens with swimming pools and then the extra large Four Quarter Suites, which leave nothing to be desired! Once you have checked in you won’t want to leave! Understanding the modern traveler we offer complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and complimentary bars & snacks in our suites, along with other sought after amenities. Families are catered for in the Auberge suites offering complimentary loft rooms for children with their own amenities; we treat them like VIK’s (very important kids)! They even get to meet the chef and plan their own menu, what a treat! There are an abundance of activities for kids in the area. Le Quartier is a gourmet destination that surpasses expectations. Home to the Award Winning Tasting Room, (having featured for many years in the top 50 in the World) this is South Africa's most lauded fine-dining restaurant. The Tasting Room is the stage to Executive Chef, Margot Janse unique African Inspired Surprise Tasting Menu. In an eclectic newly furbished setting serious diners have the opportunity to experience a menu that continues to evolve and astonish the biggest critics. Every dish is exceptional and engaging, truly refined with a distinct feminine touch and, at the same time, unexpectedly exciting ... exhilarating in fact. Open for dinners Tuesdays to Saturday only. The Living Room is also a definite must! Offering artisan beers, local wines and 'food-based' craft cocktails; using South African ingredients such as, mebos, sour figs, buchu and nettles. Executive Chef, Margot Janse, has created a ‘Bar Bites’ menu too, featuring lip smacking tapas style dishes. We offer extraordinary tailor made experiences allowing guests to discover what Franschhoek has to offer and special interactions that will create everlasting memories. From walking in Mandela’s footsteps to understanding art, cycling in the mountains or just indulging in some me time we have something for everyone.
