A World in One Country Sample Fully Guided 14 summary
A glorious 14-day southern African experience, where you’ll see and savour the immense richness of the country. From the wilds of Kruger National Park to the cosmopolitan sophistication of Cape Town, you’ll come to understand why South African is dubbed A World in One Country. From Johannesburg, our journey takes us to the quaint historical mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, and on through the breathtaking scenery of Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window. We’re en route to one of the world’s most famous game parks, Kruger National Park, and here, in open safari vehicles, we’ll be excitedly tracking the spoor of the legendary Big Five. Our travels then take us to the little Kingdom of Swaziland for an authentic cultural experience and traditional craft market, before we embark on a lazy cruise of Lake St Lucia, a world heritage site, and enjoy ample sightings of the resident hippos and crocodiles. Heading down the coast, we’ll journey through the dense, cool forest of age-old trees in the exquisite Tsitsikamma National Park. We then board our ferry for the scenic crossing to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, right at the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon. And from the oysters of Knysna to the ostriches of Oudshoorn, we’re in the feather capital of the world. One of the world’s most majestic sights is that of whales breaching off the Cape coast, and if we’re fortunate – July to November only - that’s just what we’ll see. Hermanus offers the best land-based whale watching in the world! The Cape coast is well worth exploring, and we’ll be winding our way along this exquisite coastline, photo opportunities a-plenty. And for the wine lovers among us, no trip to South Africa is complete without a signature wine-tasting at one of the Cape’s famed wine estates. You’ll love the setting and the sipping!
A world in one country. By now you’ll know why.

Please note, the internal flight between Durban and Port Elizabeth is not included.

All guests are requested to book flight SA1346 departing 10h15 to arrive in Port Elizabeth at 11h40.

Visa conditions apply for Swaziland and passports are required.

Buffalo Rock Tented Safari Sample Fully Guided 4 summary
Camping - nothing hi tech to spoil the authenticity of the experience - but with a superior level of comfort, including a personal chef and qualified THETA & FGASA registered and experienced field guide. You’re going to relish gourmet candlelit bush dinners under the vast Kruger sky, and game viewing – with superb photographic opportunities - from open safari vehicles. Accommodation is in comfortable walk-in safari tents with the best possible portable bush showers and toilets. All camping arrangements are taken care of by support staff. Buffalo Rock Tented Camp is set in an area of unspoiled natural beauty, and is rich in bird and animal life. We’re assured of our privacy here…other, of course, than the nocturnal visitors such as lion and hyena who are often seen around the camp. We’re in a game rich sector of the Park, which means sightings of the Big Five are more likely. But it’s more than just the game. It’s the fun, too, the sunsets, the sundowners, the wild animal sounds of the night, and dinner under the stars. Yes, this is a camping experience, but it’s a first class one.

3 Country - Wildlife & Waves Safari Sample Fully Guided 8 summary
Three countries, eight days, a million experiences. What a superb opportunity for an authentic African taste of everything, from wildlife to beachlife to the good life. Our tour is conducted in customized 4x4 air-conditioned overland vehicles, equally comfortable for off-road game viewing as distance travelling. Tracking the Big Five is one of our key goals, and to escalate our chances of success, we’ve chosen South Africa’s top game reserves: Kruger National Park, and Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park (famous for its historic white rhino conservation efforts). We’re also going to cruise among the hippos and crocodiles of the World Heritage Site of Lake St Lucia. Mozambique is an extraordinary destination, and we scratch way below the surface of Maputo, the capital; we’ve also ensured a day at leisure for sunworshippers, on one of southern Africa’s finest beaches. And for those who enjoy history, we’ve included a visit to what is possibly one of the oldest mines in the world, Ngwenya. At 42 000 BC, who’d argue? Our Wildlife and Waves Safari, from the Big Five to a beautiful Beach. It’s going to be magic!

Please note
• Visa conditions apply for Mozambique and Swaziland and passports are required.
• Minimum 2 and maximum 10 passengers.
• No children under 12 permitted
• Tour is not suitable for clients who are elderly or have mobility challenges as the specially modified vehicle is not easily accessible due to its height.

Hluhluwe Game, Culture & St Lucia Safari Sample Fully Guided 4 summary Heading north from Durban, we have the vast Hlulhuwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve in our sights – this is the oldest reserve in South Africa, one world-renowned for its historic conservation of the then nearly extinct white rhino. It’s home to the Big Five, as well as more rare sightings such as wild dog and the elusive cheetah. We track game in 10-seater open safari vehicles, so you have unimpeded views of the terrain, the wildlife and, of course, nobody blocks that perfect Kodak moment as the lion approaches… Our leisurely boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary – part of the World Heritage Site, Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (iSimangaliso Wetland Park) – also promises to provide clear sightings of giant crocodiles and hippos. Our tour takes in Veyane Cultural Village, where we spend time learning about the Zulu way of life; we watch traditional dancing, and skilled craftsmen weaving baskets and making beads. There’s so much to experience in this corner of Kwazulu Natal, and if you haven’t captured the Big Five in digital format, you’ll certainly have captured it all in your heart. Please note • River cruise is weather dependant. • This tour departs on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
